RESERVE-After a 64-43 dominating defeat of St. Martin’s on Friday night, Riverside Head Coach Tommy Monier said his team play the most complete game of the season.

With the playoffs set to start in less than two weeks, he just hopes that was not the top of the mountain yet for his squad.

Behind 19 points from senior Josh Labiche, the Rebels defeated St. Martin’s, 64-43.

Senior Matt Rogers and freshman Jarid Caesar also had solid nights as the duo each had 11 points.

With the win, the Rebels are now 20-9 and 6-2 in district 10-2A play.

After taking on Redeemer-Seton yesterday at Senior Night, the Rebels conclude the regular season on Friday when they travel to Fisher for a 7:30 tip-off.

Monier said that his team is playing very solid basketball and the head coach hopes that it continues.

“It was definitely our most complete game of the season from start to finish,” Monier said. “We did to St. Martin’s Friday night what I have been telling my team all along. When you have the opportunity, you take advantage and capitalize and seal the deal. I was proud of the way that we did that.

“That was a big step for us. To go out there in another team’s gym on the road like that and to take care of business like you are suppose to, that was nice.”

With the playoffs don’t officially start for another week, Monier said his squad’s playoffs started yesterday.

“Before we can even think about the real playoffs we have to games to finish up this week,” Monier said. “In my opinion I think these two games are huge because I told our team our season is on the line.

“If we win at least one of these games this week then we guarantee ourselves a home playoff game.”
