LULING-It was a great way to end a very productive high school career.

For Destrehan senior Chris Bullock, it is also the beginning of a hopefully productive college career.

Bullock, the son of Ronald and Cynthia Bullock of Destrehan, has signed with Bowling Green University. The running back said of his choice, “It’s like a family environment. I felt really accepted.”

He plans to major in architecture. “I really want to go here, education-wise,” Bullock added.

Destrehan head coach Stephen Robicheaux added, “It’s always a special day when someone of caliber gets a chance to move up.”

The student-athletes were briefly addressed by School Board Member Alfred Green and Superintendent Dr. Rodney Lafon at the school board central office in Luling, where the signings took place.
