If his team is to have any shot at a making the playoffs this season, St. Charles Catholic have to improve very quickly.

Perhaps still feeling the effects of a heartbreaking loss last week against Donaldsville, the St. Charles Catholic boys lost on Friday night to E.D. White 43-40.

Star junior forward Michael Troglen once again led the Comets with 11 points. Complimenting Troglen’s performance, senior forward/center Jarvis Sanders added 10, but it wasn’t enough.

The loss to E.D. White drops St. Charles Catholic to 11-15 on the season and more importantly 1-2 in district play.

A competitive game throughout, the turning point of the game was the final quarter as E.D. White outscored the Comets, 21-8, to come away with the victory.

After taking on Lutcher last night, the Comets will look to get back into the winning column in district play Friday when they travel to St. James to take on the Wildcats.

The game will be the second-to-last road game of the regular season for St. Charles Catholic and will also be the last game before a much-needed week off for the Comets. Gametime is set for 7 p.m.
