The Godchaux-Boudousque House, saved from the wrecking crew in 1994, faces a crisis of another sort, needing people to get involved with the restoration of the structure, which researchers date back to 1764, or 240 years. The house was acquired by sugar magnate Leon Godchaux in the mid-1800s. It was originally slated for demolition by the Port of South Louisiana, which relented and sold the house.
