DAVIS

LUTCHER – Byron A. Davis, 22, a native of New Orleans and resident of Garyville, died Jan. 23. He was the father of the late La’Daija Davis.

He was also the son of Annette Davis and Kim Fredericks and brother of Kimberly and Trinity Davis. He was also the companion of Shantell Moore.

He was also the grandchild of Arthur and Joyce A. Brown.

He was a 2000 graduate of East St. John High School and a laborer at Paducah Rigging Co.

Services are today at Israelite Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at Marathon Bishop Cemetery, Garyville. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

FROST

LAPLACE – Clarence A. Frost, 79, a native of Livingston and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 25. He was the husband of Shirley Babin Frost and father of Emily Canzoneri, Adrienne Stanley, Gregory and Stanley Frost.

He was also the son of the late Clayton and Emily Frost.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

He was a 1942 graduate of Leon Godchaux High School and graduated with honors from Tulane University Law School in 1954. He was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II and a retired lawyer

Services were Jan. 28 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

GUEDRY

DESTREHAN – Michel Joseph “Cado” Guedry Sr., 75, a resident of New Sarpy, died Jan. 20. He was the husband of the late Floriska “Icky” Simoneaux Guedry, and father of Debbie Roussel, Melanie Duvic, Donna and Michel Guedry Jr. He was also the companion of Modesta Gagliano.

He was also the brother of Josephine Barrient, Edith Ancale, Carol Sutton, Roger and Sidney Guedry.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

He was a member of the American Legion.

Services were Jan. 24 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.

MILLER

LAPLACE – Donald “Duck” Miller Sr., 57, a native of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 22. He was the father of Ann Roberts, Janet, Christy, Rose, Donald Jr., and Tommy Miller.

He was also the brother of Cynthia Woods, Beverly Lewis and Reginald Miller.

He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.

He was a retired truck driver.

Services were Jan. 27 at Milesville Memorial Church of God in Christ, LaPlace, with interment at Providence Resthaven Cemetery, LaPlace.

ROBERT

NORCO – Marie Digirolamo Robert, 84, a resident of Norco, died Jan. 26. She was the wife of the late Harold D. Robert, and mother of Sandra Jacob and Randy Robert.

She was also the sister of Sadie Trosclair, Grace Giroir, Josie Mire, Rose Songy, Sal and Nick DiGirolamo.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 28 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.

SIMON

RESERVE – Bertha Perilloux Simon, 88, a native of LaPlace and resident of Reserve for 60 years, died Jan. 24. She was the mother of Gaynelle Faler, Dwight and Ward Simon, and the late Joy Ulrich.

She was also the sister of Elma Weber.

She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Services were Jan. 28 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery.

SMITH

ST. ROSE – Glen Leo Smith, 54, a native and resident of St. Rose, died Jan. 21. He was the father of Denise, Glenda and Glen Leo Williams, Shane and Wendy Butler, Glenesha and Jacole Wesley, Kentrell and Juaniece Smith, and the late Dennis and Ernest Williams.

He was also the son of Harry and Gloria Martin Smith and brother of Linda Joseph, Elaine DuBose and Rodney Smith.

He is also survived by 27 grandchildren.

He was a retired truck driver.

Services were Jan. 28 at Fifth African Baptist Church, St. Rose, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.
