RIVER PARISHES – The Institute for Black Parenting (IBP) is looking for adoptive parents. Although the organization is based in New Orleans, adoption assistance is offered to potential families in St. John. St. James and St. Charles Parishes.

IBP has received a federal grant to recruit prospective parents for Louisiana’s Special Needs Children. The Assistance Program provides financial assistance for special needs children up to 18 years old.

All services are free of charge, and interviews are held in the home during the evenings and on weekends.

Orientations are held monthly at 10001 Lake Forest Blvd, Suite 311, New Orleans, LA. IBP will also travel to accommodate potential families in the Tri-Parish area, according to Recruiter Val Trepagnier.

For more information, call Trepagnier at (504) 245-9386; or 1-888-245-4427.
