If the West St. John girls are going to have any success this year, they are going to have to get production from someone other Jada Fiffie.

Fiffie had 29 points against St. Martin’s, but the rest of her teammates combined for only eight points as the Rams fell to St. Martin’s 47-37.

The loss dropped WSJ to 2-2 in district play and 4-6 on the season.

“Right now, we have a couple of key injuries that are hurting us,” WSJ head coach Lester Smith said. “One we expect back soon, but another could be out for the season.

“We don’t have any depth and injuries put us in a position where we struggle to play well. Everybody else is just going to have to step up and play hard if we want a chance to succeed.”

After taking on Fisher yesterday, the Rams will look to get back to their winning ways on Tuesday when they take on Buras.
