LAPLACE – An armed robber recently held a gun on a convenience store employee while demanding all the money from the woman’s cash register.
A black male, wearing a white, hooded, sweat shirt and blue jeans, robbed a gas station and convenience store in the 1500 block of West Airline Highway on Nov. 18 at 12:45 p.m.
The robber pointed a silver and black handgun at the store clerk, after the woman buzzed the man into the store.
Using his left hand, the man pulled his sweat shirt up – covering his face.
Holding a gun in his right hand, the thief laid his right arm on the counter, pointed the weapon at the clerk and demanded the woman empty her cash register.
The robber was demanding a bottle of liquor, when another customer began to enter the store.
Frightened by the on-comer, the thief took the cash from the cashier and walked out – hiding his weapon behind his back.
The robber was last seen running from the store.
