Annual Coat Drive for kids in Avoyelles

MARKSVILLE, LA – Beginning Friday, October 1, 2004 Paragon Casino Resort will be collecting coats for the 2004 “Coats for Kids Drive.”
If anyone would like to make a donation, they can drop off new or used coats/jackets at the front entrance of Paragon Casino Resort located on Highway 1 in Marksville, La. Coats of any size will be accepted. The coat drive is not limited to children. The coats must be in good condition.
Peerless Dry Cleaners in Marksville has again partnered with Paragon to clean the coats at no cost. Needy families may pick up coats from Avoyelles Council on Aging in Marksville. The date of distribution will be determined and announced by the Avoyelles Council on Aging.

Opened on June 3, 1994, Paragon Casino Resort is located on Highway 1 in Marksville, La. It is a land-based facility with a 354-room hotel, a 56,000 square foot gaming floor offering approximately over 2,100 slot machines, 43 table games and an 11-table poker room. Among the resort’s other features include a 1,600-seat entertainment complex, six restaurants, a full-service RV resort, Kids Quest childcare activity center and a professional golf course.
