United Way sets cookoff tomorrow

United Way of St. Charles rescheduled their jambalaya/gumbo cookoff for Oct. 7, from 4 – 7 p.m., at the Westbank Bridge Park in Luling Admission is $3 per person for all the gumbo & jambalaya you can taste.

Norco parade grand marshal ideas sought

Christmas Parade Seeks Grand Marshal: The Norco Christmas Parade is seeking nominations for its 2004 Parade which will be held on Sunday, Dec. 5th at 2:00 p.m. Nominees should be residents who have made positive contributions to Norco and/or surrounding community.

Roussel sets open forum in district

St. John Parish Councilman Sean Roussel is hosting an open forum and resident meeting on Oct. 13 at 6:30 p.m., at the St. John Library in LaPlace.

A Mosquito Control representative will also attend to address residents’ concerns.
