BERING

RESERVE – Yvette Marie Cammon Bering, 51, a native of Norco and resident of St. Rose, died April 22.

She was the wife of Edward Bering and mother of Kerry Hamlin, Laukisha and Lena Bering.

She was also the daughter of Rufus Cammon, and the late Louella Bailey Brown, and sister of Karen Stokes,, Sandra, Monique, Kelvin and Peter Cammon and stepsister of Yolanda Smith and Arnold Cammon.

She is also survived by three grandchildren.

She was a graduate of Destrehan High School and former president of the usher board of Good Hope Missionary Baptist Church.

Services were Aplril 27 at New Pilgrim Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at Montz Memorial Park.

CHAPMAN

LULING – Betty White Chapman, a resident of Luling, died April 28. She was the wife of the late Arthur Chapman, and mother of Stanley Chapman.

She was also the daughter of the late Edward and Maude Mahafey White, and sister of June McDermott, and the late Porter White.

She is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Luling, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.

COOKE

NORCO – Kenneth Raymond Cooke Sr., 47, a resident of LaPlace, died April 24. He was the husband of Juanita Ponthieux Cooke and father of Corena, Lisa, Nora and Raymond Cooke Jr.

He was also the son of Evie Cooke and is survived by seveal siblings.

He is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services are April 30 at 10 a.m. in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitation is April 29 at 6 p.m.

LANDRY

DESTREHAN – Michael David Landry, 39, a native and resident of Destrehan, died April 22. He was the father of Brittany and Brandy Landry.

He was also the son of Doris Rizzuto, and the late Louis Landry Sr., and brother of Sheryl Karger, Richard, and the late Louis Landry Jr.

Services were April 26 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, with interment at the church mausoleum.

LEMOINE

KENNESAW, GA. – Frank Lemoine, 68, a former resident of Lutcher and resident of Jasper, Ga., died April 24. He was the husband of Martha Shirley and father of Corey and Bruce Lemoine and Louis Lebranch.

He was also the brother of Phyllis Monaret, Joe, Lenny and George Lemoine.

He is also survived by 13 grandchildren.

He was a former chief of police for the Town of Lutcher.

Services were April 27 in the chapel of Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, Kennesaw, Ga., with interment at Pine Ridge Memorial Park.
