Relay for Life Golf Tournament benefits ACS

LaPlace – ACT Technologies Relay for Life Team held its first golf tournament on March 28 at Riverlands Country Club. Proceeds went to the American Cancer Society.

Lunch was provided by Smokies BBQ, and a crawfish boil provided by BRS followed the tournament.

Winners of the event were as follows.

€ First-place Team: Scott Ocmond, Brent Ocmond, Dusty Waguespack, and Larry Tatman.

€ Second-place Team: Dr. Fred DeFrancesch, Brent Remondet, Paul Miller, and Darren Hirsch.

€ Third-place Team: Danny Millet, Daniel Millet, Adam Millet, and Peter Millet.

€ Longest Drive: Scott Ocmond.

€ Closest to the Hole: Larry Tatman.

€ Worst Shot: Daniel Millet.

According to ACT Technologies Team Captain Brandy Volion, the support of team members, volunteers, sponsors and players made the tournament a big success. The organization hopes to make the outing an annual event.
