Nawzer Parakh has been named Site Leader for St. Charles Operations, replacing Bob Walker, who has been named site leader of Dow’s Texas Operations.

Parakh will also maintain his current position of Business Operations Director of Glycol Ethers and Amines.

According to Walker, “My time here has been extremely rewarding. I am proud of our employees and all they have accomplished. St. Charles Operations is a strong, integrated facility with an excellent safety culture and talented, committed people. It is poised for growth. I know that Nawzer will continue Dow’s strong focus on partnership with the communities around St. Charles Operations.”

Nawzer Parakh joined Union Carbide in 1968. He held a variety of positions before being named Business Operations Director for Dow’s Oxide Derivatives business in 2001, when he relocated to St. Charles Operations in Taft.

Parakh holds a Bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Kharagpur, India.

According to Parakh, “I am looking forward to getting to know our community neighbors, and learning more about the role St. Charles Operations plays as a community partner. We have a great deal to be proud of at our site. Our employees work hard every day to safely and responsibly manufacture products – while also investing in our community. Great things are happening at St. Charles Operations – and there is more to come.”
