Queen Allovus XXXIX:
Miss Elizabeth Marie Dufresne daughter of Jun and Marie Dufresne of LaPlace. Liz’s Larayo activities have included two years of cabbage ball, eight years of softball, Twelve years of swim team, three years as assisted swim team coach(volunteer), swim-a-ton, Allovus maid 1999, three years as a life guard and one year as a concession worker. Liz has received the Larayo swim team Chair-man Faucheux Mem-orial award and Swim League Senior award. Her hobbies include swimming, jogging, basketball and working out.
Jun had been a very active Larayo member by serving eleven years as a board member, with six years as pool manager, three years as swim league representative, five years as a trustee to the board, eight years as a boy’s baseball coach, two years as a girl’s cabbage ball coach, four years as a softball coach, nine years a President of River Parish Swim League, two years as a member of Krewe of Allovus serving as duke in 1995, 1989 served on the swim invitational committee, 1994 served as swim invitational co-chairperson, 2000 served on Invitational committee.
Marie has actively served four years on the board as pool manager and swim team representative, 1989 served on the swim invitational committee, 1994 and 2000 served as chairperson for the swim invitational, Chairperson for the swim team swim-a-thon, two year member of the Krewe of Allovus, eleven years as assisted swim team coach, one year coach of girl’s cabbage ball and three years coach of girl’s softball.
XXXIX Maids:
Miss Amy Elizabeth Caldarera is the daughter of Joe Caldarera and Marty Caldarera Dupree. Amy’s Larayo activities have included playing softball for twelve years and swimming for five years. Amy is a student at Mount Carmel Academy High School where she is a member of CLC, TFL and the cross country team. She enjoys softball and running. Her future plans include attending LSU and study photography and interior design.
Joe has made many contributions to Larayo by coaching since 1972 to present (Thirty-one years), board member for twelve years serving as girl’s softball director and President of softball league for four years, St. Charles Metro Team State champions coach and has supplied equipment for many projects at Larayo.
Miss Alicia Ocmond is the daughter of Kenneth (Kosh) and Penny LeBlanc of LaPlace and Ronnie and Catherine Ocmond of Norco. Alicia’s Larayo activities include playing softball at Larayo for two years and working in the concession stand. Alicia attends Riverside Academy High School and is captain of the Lady Rebel basketball team.
Kenneth has been involved with Larayo since 1978 and has coached for nine years. He was a duke in 1987 for the Krewe of Allovus.
Miss Emily Andrea Vicknair is the daughter of Darren and Jill Vicknair of LaPlace. Emily’s Larayo activities included eight years of softball and is presently pursuing her ninth year on the swim team. She has been a lifeguard for two years. Emily attends Archbishop Chapelle High School and is active in student council, showstoppers, retreat team, ambassadors, choir, and proline. She enjoys taking pictures and making bead necklaces. Her future plans are to attend college and become a photographer. Darren actively served on the board of directors for three years serving as boy’s baseball and concession director. He assisted in coaching boys for three years. Jill was a maid of Allovus.
Miss Ashlee Baer is the daughter of Tom and Joel’ Baer of LaPlace. Ashlee’s Larayo activities include ten years of softball, eleven years of swimming and two years as a lifeguard. Ashlee attends Mount Carmel Academy High School where she is a member of CLC and an honor student. Ashlee is an aide for St. Joan of Arc’s CCD program. Ashlee plans on continuing her education a LSU. Ashlee enjoys swimming, shopping and traveling. Tom actively sits on the board of directors at present and represents the girl’s softball league. He has coached girl’s softball for eleven years. Joel’ has been and active member of Larayo for thirty-five years where she played cabbage ball, swam, and served as a lifeguard. Joel’ was a Maid in the the court of Allovus XX Joel’s father was King Allovus XIV.
