LUTCHER – A special ceremony honoring the Lutcher High School football team will be a highlight of the 14th annual Festival of the Bonfires. The event, which is held at the Knights of Columbus Fairgrounds in Lutcher, is scheduled for Dec. 12, 13 and 14.
“We’re going to have the biggest victory party over at the festival,” said Festival President Rhonda Lee in reference to the football team celebration. She said the ceremony will take place even if the Lutcher Bulldogs lose their 3-A championship game at the Superdome on Friday night.
The Bulldog Showcase is set for Dec. 12 at 5:30 p.m.
This year’s Festival, whose theme is “Celebrate the Culture Along the Mississippi River”, will feature local television personality Frank Davis of “Naturally N’Awlins”. He will appear on Dec. 12 at 5 p.m. and 6 p.m.
