Marathon receives Corporate Health Achievement Award

Marathon Ashland Petroleum LLC and Marathon Oil Company (collectively referred to as Marathon), with a subsidiary in Norco, were recently awarded the 2003 Corporate Health Achievement Award from the American College of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (ACOEM). The company was honored for “its exemplary programs and practices that protect the health and safety of employees and the communities in which it works”.

“We are honored to be recognized by the College with this prestigious award. At its essence, it serves to exemplify the hard work and dedication of each employee involved with health care,” medical director Brian Linder, M.D. said.

The award was presented during the ACOEM’s annual American Occupational Health Conference in Atlanta, GA. The award was accepted on behalf of Marathon by Randy Lohoff, a senior vice president of health, environment of Marathon Ashland Petroleum and Dan Sullenbarger, a vice president of Marion Oil Company.

ACOEM, is an international medical specialty society of more than 6,000 occupational and environmental medicine physicians. The organization formally recognizes corporate health programs in North America through the Corporate Health Achievement Award competition.
