BREAUX
LAPLACE – Junius Joseph “J.J.” Breaux, 59, a native and resident of LaPlace, died Dec. 7. He was the father of Semeco, Tiffany and Stephanie Breaux.
He was the son of the late Annie Tickles and Joseph Breaux and brother of Martha Parquet, Audrey Johnson, Thelma Francis, Alma Fuller, Irene, Louise and Herman Breaux and the late Ethel Morris, Mable Taylor, Emuriel and Dorothy Williams and John Lee, Lawarene Sr., Eugene and Joseph Breaux.
He is also survived by five grandchildren.
He was a retired U.S. Marine Corps sergeant and a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Services were Dec. 16 at New Vision Missionary Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at Providence Resthaven Cemetery, LaPlace.
BRENNECKE
LAPLACE – Earl Brennecke, 74, a native of Missouri and resident of LaPlace for 24 years, died Dec. 13. He was the husband of the late Bernie Brennecke and father of Susan Landon and Robert, Carl and Larry Brennecke.
He was the brother of Gene Meinders and Judy Muier.
He is survived by four grandchildren and was preceded in death by one grandchild.
Services were Dec. 16 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
BRIGNAC
LAPLACE – Alton J. Brignac Sr., 64, a native of LaPlace and resident of Ponchatoula, died Dec. 14. He was the husband of Gay Ayme Brignac and father of Cindy Klibert and Alton Jr. “Jay,” Kerry and Ricky Brignac.
He was the son of Theresa Landry Brignac and the late Clarence Brignac and brother of Claire Doggett.
He is also survived by six grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren.
Services were Dec. 16 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery, Destrehan.
BUSSE
NORCO – Jamie June Busse, 42, a native of Arizona and resident of Luling, died Dec. 12. She was the daughter of John and the late Linda Finn and sister of Paul, Steven and the late Shawn Finn.
Services were Dec. 15 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco.
CHABAUD
GRAMERCY – Ronald J. Chabaud Sr., 53, a native of Paulina and resident of Gramercy for 28 years, died Dec. 15. He was the husband of Deborah Giardina and father of Melissa Wehner and Brandon, Hope and Ronald Chabaud Jr.
He was the son of Hickley and Marguerite Poche Chabaud and brother of Kevin, Michael and the late John Chabaud.
He is also survived by one grandchild.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Gramercy, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
COTTON
NEW SARPY – Booker T. Cotton, 97, a native of Prairieville and lifelong resident of New Sarpy, died Dec. 10. He was the husband of Octavia Cotton and father of Dollie Smothers, Brenda Decruise and Cecilia, Pauline, Anthony, Jerry and Alfred Cotton Sr.
He was the brother of Sarah Akling, Lacy Tillison, Alma Ricks, Octavia Doville, Mary Melton and Rosie, Stella, Lillian, Esau, Eddie, Joseph, Oliver, Sidney, Willie and Potsy Cotton.
He is also survived by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Matthew Baptist Church, New Sarpy, with interment at Garden of Memories, Metairie.
DUHE
PAULINA – Lillian Martin Duhe, 66, a native of Grand Point and lifelong resident of Lutcher, died Dec. 16. She was the wife of 47 years of Charles Duhe Sr. and mother of Gail Zeringue, Cindy Daigle, Janet Acosta, Marybeth Berthelot and Charles Jr. and James Duhe Sr.
She was the daughter of the late Volture and Louise Louque Martin and sister of Doris St. Pierre, Ada Wilday, Anna Mae Bourgeois, Percy Martin and the late Jeanne Louque, Alice Keller, Rose Mae Monier and Volture Martin Jr.
She is also survived by 18 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
She was a member of the St. James Historical Society and a lifelong member of Catholic Daughters of America.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
HARRISON
ALGIERS – Ronald Andrew Harrison Sr., 59, a native of Vacherie, resident of Dadeville, Ala. for eight years and of Gretna for 45 years, died Dec. 10. He was the husband of Marie Cherubin Harrison and father of Annette Young, Dimitris James, Denise Dunnum, Yanda and Rohan Lloyd and Wayne, Nathaniel, Ronald Jr. and the late Avery Harrison.
He was the son of the late Alvin Harrison Sr. and Shirley Jasmine and brother of Anne Batiste, Susan Hebert, Hazel Shakir, Clyde Sr., Raymond Sr., Kasib Hakeem, William, Phillip Sr., Robert Sr. and Bobbie Harrison Sr. and the late Joyce McGee and Alvin Jr. and Louis Harrison Sr.
He is also survived by 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
He was a retired, self-employed contractor.
Memorial services are today at 11 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, Algiers.
HOWARD
ALGIERS – Ruby Zeno Howard, 79, a native of Vacherie and resident of Marrero for 60 years, died Dec. 13. She was the wife of the late Percy Howard Sr. and mother of Roseann Garrison, Carmen Jackson and Tyrone, Elston, Carl and the Rev. Percy Howard Jr.
She was the daughter of the late George and Mathilda Lee Zeno and sister of the late Olivia Joseph, Mary Wallace, Rosemary Smith and William, Herbert Sr., Standward Sr. and Albany Zeno Sr.
She is also survived by 15 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was a retired Jefferson Parish Food Service employee.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at Mt. Pilgrim Fourth Baptist Church, Algiers, with interment at First Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
LeBLANC
NEW ORLEANS – Samuel C. LeBlanc, 76, a native of St. James Parish and resident of Algiers for 40 years, died Dec. 8. He was the companion of Mary Aline Johnson and father of Shelia Washington, Gloria Wallace, Catherine Thomas, Dominique Taylor, Leslie Henderson Sr. and Linda, Robin, Elyria, Angelie, Kim, Krystal, Joseph, Samuel, Calvin and Marshall LeBlanc.
He is also survived by 33 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
He was a retired supervisor for the New Orleans Streets Department.
Services were Dec. 16 in the chapel of Magee Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at National Cemetery, Biloxi, Miss.
SCHENALL
LAPLACE – Ondina Duhe Schenall, 25, a native of Garyville and resident of Reserve, died Dec. 8. She was the wife of Roger Schenall III.
She was the daughter of Emanuel Rayfield and Carolyn Duhe Brown; sister of Anitra, Morris Jr. and Keyion Brown; and stepsister of Javonna Rayfield, Jarrod Nabor and Nakisha and Darnell Sanders.
She was also the granddaughter of Theresa Duhe and Florence Rayfield.
Services were Dec. 16 at New Home Ministries, LaPlace, with interment at Zion Travelers Cemetery, Lions.
TAYLOR
METAIRIE – Kinta Sanchez Taylor, 98, a native of Garyville and resident of Kenner for five years, died Dec. 13. She was the mother of Joyce DeLucca.
She was the sister of Myrl Green and Roy Sanchez.
She is also survived by nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
Services were Dec. 16 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Lake Lawn Park Cemetery.
VICTOR
MARRERO – Norman “Red” Victor, 72, a native of Vacherie and resident of Marrero, died Dec. 11. He was the husband by first marriage of Rudy Kalliwall and by second marriage of Carla McDaniels and father of Rubin and Norman Victor Martin, Tanashia, Robert and Alton Butler, Kelvin and Karen Brown, Timothy and Alexis Victor and the late Rickey Brown and Shoney Victor.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
He was a member of the National Maritime Union and a retired security guard for West Jefferson Medical Center.
Services were Dec. 17 at Second Highway Baptist Church, Marrero, with interment at Bright Star Cemetery, Marrero.
