EMERY
MOONSHINE – Robert “Brogg” Emery Jr., 66, a native of St. James and resident of Vacherie, died Nov. 21. He was the husband of Catherine Blain Emery and father of Verna Jones and Valerie, Robert III, Kevin and Shaun Emery.
He was the son of the late Robert Sr. and Florida Emery and brother of Audrey Emery and Charles Thomas.
He is also survived by 11 grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Luke Baptist Church, Moonshine, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
GRAVOIS
VACHERIE – Joyce Mary Poirrier Gravois, 69, a native of Donaldsonville and resident of Vacherie, died Nov. 25. She was the wife of the late Louis Gravois Jr. and mother of Julie Roddy, Faye Chenier and Alan, Glenn and Kelly Gravois.
She was the daughter of the late Hilton Sr. and Lezimia Tregre Poirrier and sister of Betty Rodriguez and Nolan and Steven Poirrier.
She is also survived by 13 grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Philip Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church cemetery.
JAMISON
LUTCHER – Shanika Clarnetta Jamison, 22, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Nov. 19. She was the mother of RayunShaNik Gant.
She was the daughter of Linda Jamison and sister of Kavona Jamison, QuaVon Boudreaux and Tyronika and Ronesha Thomas. She is also survived by six stepsisters and three stepbrothers.
She was also the grandchild of Clara Butler, Rose Jamison, Carrie Price and the late Freddie Butler.
Services were Nov. 26 at King Triumph Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at St. Joseph Cemetery, Paulina.
JONES
ST. ROSE – Margaret Green Jones, 82, a native of Waterproof and resident of New Orleans for 50 years, died Nov. 19. She was the wife of Mid R. Jones.
She was the sister of Kelly Howard and Jenny Thomas.
She is also survived by two grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at Fifth African Baptist Church, St. Rose, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
LAICHE
RESERVE – Wilbert Paul Laiche Sr., 79, a native of Reserve and resident of Luling for 36 years, died Nov. 23. He was the husband of Emma Roussel Laiche and father of Irene Romagosa and the late Wilbert Laiche Jr.
He was the brother of Verna Ruiz and Ora Berthelot.
He is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retired utility foreman for Louisiana Power & Light Company.
Services were Nov. 26 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery.
MADERE
RESERVE – Denise Haydel Madere, 96, a native of Vacherie and resident of Reserve for 65 years, died Nov. 24. She was the wife of the late Francis Madere and mother of Frances Keating and Bertram and Bryan Madere.
She was the daughter of the late Edward and Eugenie Haydel and sister of Stella Sutherland and the late Sister Francesca Haydel, Mrs. Lawrence Troxclair, Mrs. Odile Luquette, Lucy Oubre, Mrs. Leonie Loup, Angie Faucheux and Froisin, Edward and George Haydel.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
MITCHELL
LUTCHER – Royal “Uncle Coon” Mitchell, 45, a native of Paulina and resident of New Orleans, died Nov. 20. He was the father of Sada Martin.
He was the son of the late Clara Mitchell and brother of Idola Robertson, Jeanette Guerin; Evera, Richard, Mark and Raymond Mitchell; Janice, Raymond, Joseph and Anthony Boudreaux and the late Huey Mitchell.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at First Community Antioch Baptist Church, Lutcher, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9:30 a.m.
REVOLTA
LAPLACE – Beverly Manshardt Revolta, 73, a native of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace for 11 years, died Nov. 24. She was the wife of the late Earl Revolta Sr. and mother of Sylvia Kimball, Sandra Jimerson, Susan Warner and Earl Jr., Joseph and Stevie Revolta.
She is also survived by four sisters and one brother.
She is also survived by 20 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 1 p.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery, New Orleans. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
STELL
LAPLACE – Rose “Mama Rose” A. Stell, 66, a native of Independence and resident of LaPlace, died Nov. 24. She was the wife of the late Wayne Stell Jr. and mother of Herb and David Stell.
She is also survived by four grandchildren.
Services were Nov. 26 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
