ANDERSON
NORCO – Cedric Raymond Anderson, 72, a native of New Orleans and resident of Norco, died June 25. He was the husband of Patricia Troxclair Anderson and father of Gwen Goudeau, Dawn McCubbins and Kay, Dirk and Mark Anderson.
He was the son of the late Edwin “Bennie” and Edna Walker Anderson and brother of Peter and the late Roscoe “Buster” and Stanley Anderson.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
He was a retired mechanical engineer for Shell Oil Co. and a graduate of Louisiana State University.
Services were June 27 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Church, Norco.
JACOB
RESERVE – Edna Mae Donaldson Jacob, 81, a native and resident of Reserve, died June 23. She was the wife of the late Norman Jacob and the mother of Denise Clanton, Norman Jacob Jr. and Vanessa Oubre.
She was the daughter of the late Henry and Denise Maurin Donaldson and sister of Malcolm Donaldson and the late Maurin Donaldson and Beulah Rauschenbach.
She is also survived by six grandchildren and one great-grandchildren.
Services were June 26 at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve.
OUBRE
GARYVILLE – Leona Troxler Oubre, 90, a native and resident of Garyville, died June 26. She was the wife of the late Rene Oubre Jr. and the mother of Doris Jacob, Nelwyn LeBoeuf, Lois Falgoust, Carolyn Cashio and Earl, Rodney, Warren and Rene Oubre III.
She was the sister of Antoinette Duhe and the late Ezilda Cox and Edwin and Antoine Troxler.
She is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.
RODRIGUE
LAPLACE – Steven Rodrigue, 86, a native of Plattenville and resident of LaPlace for the past 26 years, died June 23. He was the father of Rhonda, Steven Jr., Erin and the late Dawn Rodrigue.
He was the son of the late Desire and Agnes Rodrigue.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were June 27 at the chapel of Millet Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace.
SIMON
DESTREHAN – Albin A. Simon, 87, a native of Vacherie and resident of St. Rose, died June 26. He was the husband of the late Annie Simon and father of Marlene Cambre, Diane Theisges, Charlene Fiorella, Darryl and Curtis Simon and the late Deborah Guercia.
He was the brother of the late Anna Carmouche and Stanley, Anicet, Claude, Richard, Clarence, Myrthee and Olive Simon.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, five stepgrandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and eight step-great-grandchildren.
Services were June 28 at St. Charles Borromeo Church, Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.
TOSSO
BAY ST. LOUIS, Miss. – Mabel Montz Tosso, 85, a native of New Orleans and resident of Bay St. Louis, Miss., died June 23. She was the mother of Gilbert Tosso Jr., Carolyn Gallagher, Joan LeBlanc, Diane Tyler and Suzanne Shean.
She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Services were June 28 at Our Lady of the Gulf Catholic Church, Bay St. Louis, Miss., with interment at St. Louis Cemetery No. 3, New Orleans.
WAGUESPACK
VACHERIE – Elia A. “Sweet Nan” Waguespack, 97, a native of Vacherie and resident of Thibodaux, died June 27.
She was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Marie Kliebert Waguespack and sister of the late Sidalise, Lawrence, Oliver, Otis and Laurent Waguespack.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Phillip Catholic Church, Vacherie, with interment at the church mausoleum. Visitation begins at 8 a.m.
