BRAUD
NORCO – Robert Gilbert Braud, 92, a native of Prairieville and resident of Norco for 73 years, died June 7. He was the husband of Marguerite “Maggie” Marchand Braud and father of Maycel Joseph, Clark, Arlen and Karen Braud.
He was the son of the late Gilbert and Sarazine Braud and brother of the late Martha Babin, Pamela, Emile and James Braud.
He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services were June 11 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at Prairieville Cemetery.
CANNELLA
NEW ORLEANS – Frank Anthony Cannella, 77, a native of Reserve and resident of New Orleans for 74 years, died June 6. He was the husband of Jennie Conforto Cannella and father of JoAnna Byrd and Philip Cannella.
He was the brother of Angelina Jones and Charles Cannella, and the late Josephine Grafe, Mary Moliere and Rose Gauslin.
He is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was the retired owner of ACE Amusement Company.
Services were June 10 in the chapel of All Faiths Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at All Saints Mausoleum.
DUHE
LAPLACE – John Oswald Duhe, 70, a native of Reserve and resident of LaPlace for 43 years, died June 6. He was the husband of Betty Montz Duhe and father of Darcie, Dina, J. Bradley and Brandon Duhe.
He was the son of the late Willie and Leonie Millet Duhe, and brother of Harold Duhe, and the late Genevieve, Marjorie, Willie Jr., Mike, Harry Peter, Paul and Leon Duhe.
He is also survived by five grandchidren.
He was a U.S. Navy veteran of the Korean War and a retired operator for Kaiser Aluminum.
Services were June 10 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
GORDON
EDGARD – Dorothy Mathieu Gordon, 87, a native and resident of Edgard, died June 7. She was the wife of the late Whitmore Gordon, and like a mother to Thaddeus Samuel.
She was the daughter of the late Leon and Alice Howard, and sister of the late Lena Dinvaut, Clarence Sr. and Riley Mathieu.
Services were June 11 at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Edgard, with interment at the church cemetery.
PARKS
MARRERO – Helen Duhe Parks, a native of Killona and resident of Westwego for the past 30 years, died June 7. She was the wife of the late Ben Parks Sr., and mother of Ben Parks Jr.
She was the daughter of the late Clarence and Marie Dufresne Duhe, and sister of Manuel, Whitney, and the late Lillie Miller.
She is also survived by five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were June 11 in the chapel of Leitz-Egan Funeral Home, Marrero, with interment at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Cemetery, Westwego.
SCHRIBER
LAPLACE – Betty Sandifer Perry Schriber, 68, a native of Crystal Springs, Miss., and resident of LaPlace for 35 years, died June 9. She was the wife of Paul Schriber, mother of Ann Miller and Larry Perry and stepmother of Paula Thomas and Pamela Schriber.
She was the sister of Ernestine Frazier and Barbara Harrington.
She is also survived by two stepgrandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at Palestine Baptist Cemetery, Crystal Springs, Miss. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
STARLONE
CONVENT – Della B. Starlone, 55, a native of Chackbay and resident of Hester, died June 7. She was the wife of Anthony Starlone and mother of Jason and Bart Starlone.
She was the daughter of Enola, and the late Olidie Braud, and sister of Gayle Plaisance, Janice Bourg, Dennis, Ralph, Glenn and Mark Braud.
She is also survived by one grandchild.
Services were June 10 at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, Convent, with interment at the church mausoleum.
