KJORMOE

METAIRIE – David Casey Kjormoe, 2 years and 11 months, a native and resident of Luling, died May 5. He was the son of John Jr. and Katy Smith Kjormoe and brother of Sean Kjormoe.

He was the grandchild of Thomas Sr. and Rose Smith and John Sr. and Cheryl Kjormoe

He was also the great-grandchild of Mildred Toye and Noel and Emily Kjormoe.

Services were May 9 in the chapel of Lamana-Panno-Fallo Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.

MILTON

EDGARD – Benny “Fat” “Zoomer” Milton, 71, a native of Vacherie and resident of Harvey for 18 years, died May 6. He was the husband of Betty Gordon-Milton and father of Allen and Gregory Milton and Arthur Allen Jr., Terence Bailey, Terrance Causey and David Harris.

He was the brother of Zelda Thomas, Ella Penwright and Wilbert and Clifford Milton Sr.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was a founding member and chairman of the deacon board at Life Center Full Gospel Cathedral, New Orleans, and chairman of the Southern Regional and State Deacon Boards of Full Gospel Fellowship and vice-chairman of Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Church for more than 25 years.

He was a retired employee of New Orleans Cold Storage.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Second African Baptist Church, Edgard, with interment at Greater Woodville Baptist Cemetery, Wallace.

PRIESTLEY

NEW ORLEANS – Albien Priestley, 103, a native of St. James Parish and resident of New Orleans for 83 years, died May 7. She was the mother of Alice Jones and Myrtle Harper.

She is also survived by seven grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services were May 10 at St. Rita Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at St. Mary Cemetery, New Orleans.

SIMMONS

CONVENT – Dolores Regina “Dee” Simmons, 62, a native and resident of Convent, died May 2. She was the mother of Marlon Simmons.

She was the daughter of the late Nathaniel and Louiza Young and sister of Frances Howard, Gloria Fields, Helen, Alma and Mose Simmons and Preston Joseph Jr. and the late Myrtle Sandifer, Sophia Hall, Emelda Seio, Melvin Davis and Viney, Joseph, Mack and Nathaniel Simmons.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

She was a retired paraprofessional with St. James Parish Public Schools. She attended Southern University and was a member of St. James Citizens for Jobs and the Environment, Louisiana Neighbor Project and Greenpeace.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church, Convent, with interment at the church cemetery.

STEVENS

NEW ORLEANS – Clinton Stevens, 82, a native of Garyville and lifelong resident of New Orleans, died May 4. He was the husband of Geraldine Stevens and father of Gloria Allen and Ronald and the late Edith and Emelda Stevens.

He was the son of the late Lizzie Williams and Evans Stevens and brother of Verna Bowman and the late Weber, Ulysses and Lettie Stevens.

He is also survived by four grandchildren.

He was a graduate of McDonough 35 High School and Xavier University, a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired employee of Shell Oil Company.

Services were May 8 at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, New Orleans, with interment at St. Louis No. 3 Cemetery, New Orleans.
