River Parishes Hospital recently recognized three employees for their community service efforts: Lisa Millet, human resources assistant; Jolyn Johnson, nursing supervisor; and Alison Wright, dietary director. Millet serves as co-chairman and Johnson serves as a committee member for the St. Peter Spring Festival. Together with approximately 15-20 committee members, they organize the school’s annual fair. Millet said she got involved with the committee in 1995 because the school was in fear of closing. Johnson has been involved with the fair for more than 12 years. In addition to serving on the committee, Johnson serves as the school’s marketing and development director. Since Millet and Johnson have been serving together on the committee, the fair has averaged $20,000-$30,000 each year to benefit the school. This year, it grossed more than $45,000. Two employees who helped most of the weekend were Liane St. Martin of surgery and Doreen Lang of accounting.
