DUMAS
MARRERO – Morris “Moray” Dumas, 71, a native of Vacherie and resident of Marrero for 40 years, died Jan. 30. He was the husband of Lois Bartholomew Dumas and father of John Dumas.
He was the son of the late Gentry and Fabiola Dumas, brother of Glenda Webb, Raymond, Welton and Hamilton Dumas, stepbrother of James Brown and half-brother of Geraldine Favorite.
Services were Feb. 5 at St. Joseph the Worker Catholic Church, Marrero, with interment at Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale.
FELTON
RESERVE – Alfred “Sulu” Felton, 75, a native of Garyville, died Jan. 30. He was the husband of the late Pauline Borne Felton and father of Mary Harvey, Kim Jones and Alfred Jr., Kerry Sr., Claudette, Michelle and the late Brenda and Paulette Felton.
He was the son of the late Joe and Virginia Felton and brother of Ulysses Felton.
He is also survived by numerous grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at New Rescue Mission Missionary Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
HAYDEL
METAIRIE – Delma “Del” J. Haydel, 80, a native of Edgard, former resident of Destrehan and New Orleans, and resident of Metairie, died Feb. 3. He was the husband of the late Sanomar Haydel and father of Lisa Vicidomina and Dennis Sr. and Glenn Haydel.
He was the son of the late Sidney Sr. and Antonia Haydel and brother of Sidney Haydel Jr.
He is also survived by three grandchildren.
He was a retired employee of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and received the Archdiocese of St. Louis Medallion.
Services are today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Greenwood Mausoleum. Visitation starts at 9 a.m. A Mass will be held Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. at St. Gabriel the Archangel Catholic Church, New Orleans.
MADERE
RESERVE – Edna Mae Webre Madere, 80, a native of Garyville and resident of Reserve for 62 years, died Feb. 1. She was the wife of the late Wilton “Bill” Madere Sr. and mother of Maureen Morales, Kathleen St. Pierre, Wilton “Butch” Jr., Michael and Charles Weber and the late Patrick, Terrence and Peggy Madere.
She was the daughter of the late William and Antonia Duhon Webre and sister of Inez Dresner, Carl, Clyde and Rodney Weber and the late Guy, Alvin and Donald Weber and Minnie Brady.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 9 a.m.
ROUSSEL
PAULINA – Rosemary Theresa Roussel, 80, a native and resident of Paulina, died Feb. 3. She was the daughter of the late Eugene and Amelia Faucheaux Roussel and sister of Doris Guzman.
She is also survived by a niece, six great-nieces and nephews and seven great-great-nieces and nephews.
She was retired from the St. James Parish School System after 35 years of service.
Services were Feb. 5 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church cemetery.
TAMPLAIN
BATON ROUGE – Louis “Sonny” Tamplain Jr., 86, a native of Garyville and resident of Baton Rouge, died Feb. 3.
He was the husband of Elaine Vilemont Tamplain and father of Theresa Frick, Lisa Rowell, Tobie Capace and the late Nelwyn Tamplain.
He is also survived by four grandchildren.
He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and a retired petrochemical contractor.
Services were Feb 5 in the chapel of Rabenhorst Funeral Home, Baton Rouge, with interment at St. Peter Mausoleum, Reserve.
WEBRE
PAULINA – Frank B. “49” Webre Jr., 81, a native of Edgard and resident of Paulina, died Feb. 3. He was the husband of Inez Babin Webre and father of Annette Martinez, Yvonne Waguespack and Donald, Herman, Frank III, Kevin, Vincent, Clarence, Chris, Anthony and David Webre.
He is also survived by 29 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church mausoleum. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.
WILLIAMS
LAPLACE – Roland D. Williams, 21, a native of Heidelberg, Germany, and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 27. He was the son of Ronald Sr. and Peggy Williams and brother of Stephanie Scott and Roshunda, Ronald Jr., Randy and Reginald Williams.
He was also the grandchild of Cora Clark and Annette and Leroy Veal.
Services are today at 10 a.m. at Living Way Pentecostal Church, LaPlace, with interment at Providence Memorial Park, Metairie.
