CLARK
KENNER – Nola Roquevert Clark, 74, a native of New Orleans, former resident of Kenner and resident of LaPlace for 28 years, died Jan. 25. She was the wife of the late David Thomas “Jack” Clark.
She was the daughter of the late L. Paul and Louise Roquevert and sister of Marie Foles, Louis Roquevert and the late Germaine Mains and Paul, Philomene and Louise Roquevert.
Services were Jan. 28 in the chapel of L. A. Muhleisen and Son Funeral Home, Kenner, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery.
KIRKLIN
NEW ORLEANS – Phillip Joseph Kirklin, 59, a native of Paulina and resident of New Orleans, died Jan. 20. He was the companion of Sherine Wooden, father of Michelle Johnson, Dionne Lewis, Demetria Baker, Victoria Picard, Phyllis Walker, Cheryl, Xena, Troy and Justin Kirklin, Raymond Lewis and Phillip Walker and stepfather of Ricky and Rickeem Jones.
He was the son of Mildred Kirklin and brother of Nelson Kirklin.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 26 in the chapel of Littlejohn’s Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Antioch Baptist Church Cemetery.
LAURENT
BATON ROUGE – Marguerite Bourgeois Laurent, 91, a native of Convent and resident of Baton Rouge, died Jan. 25. She was the wife of the late Stephen J. Laurent and mother of Marguerite Foor, Geri Fennell, Naida Altazin, Nelda Coffee and Leo and Marshall Laurent.
She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bourgeois and sister of Mabel Berthelot, Mildred Laurent and the late Marie Doming, Mae Troxler and Edward, Randall, Raymond and Roy Bourgeois.
She is also survived by 28 grandchildren and 54 great-grandchildren.
Services are today at noon in the chapel of Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, Baton Rouge, with interment at Resthaven Gardens of Memory. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
LeBLANC
NORCO – Leopold J. LeBlanc Jr., 78, a native of Grand Point and resident of Norco, died Jan. 27. He was the father of Paulette Cambre, Colleen Kintz, Dexter, Keith and Leopold LeBlanc III and the late Colette Tregre.
He was the brother of Pearl Becnel, Louis Norman, Neal, Leroy and Ronnie LeBlanc and the late Maize Veron and Leola and Mervin LeBlanc.
He is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 29 at Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church, Norco, with interment at St. Charles Borromeo Mausoleum, Destrehan.
LOTRUGLIO
NEW ORLEANS – Stelma Troxclair Lotruglio, 80, a native of New Sarpy and resident of New Orleans, died Jan. 24. She was the wife of the late Howard Jeanfreu and Salvadore Lotruglio and mother of the late Charles Jeanfreu.
She was the sister of Inez Titus, Pearl Strassel, Doris Barbe, Dennis, Ulysses and Eddie Troxclair and the late Theresa Patemostra, Rosine Barbe-Shaw and Leroy Troxclair.
She is also survived by four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 28 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at Greenwood Cemetery.
MARGOT
NEW ORLEANS – Lucille Landry Margot, 88, a native of Convent and resident of New Orleans, died Jan. 25. She was the wife of the late George Margot and mother of Marilyn Rome and Melvin Margot.
She was the daughter of the late Joseph and Armantine Landry and sister of Leona Falgoust, Cecile Fontenot, Anna Guttuso, Louise DiFulco, Marie Bernard and the late Edvige, Rene and Andrew Landry.
She is also survived by two grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was a retired Whitney Bank employee.
Services were Jan. 29 in the chapel of Jacob Schoen and Son Funeral Home, New Orleans, with interment at St. Patrick No. 1 Cemetery.
RUIZ
LAPLACE – Herman J. Ruiz, 65, a native and resident of Reserve, died Jan. 26. He was the son of the late Henry and Odette Ruiz and brother of Lawrence, James and Robert Ruiz and the late Audrey Duhe.
He is also survived by 12 nieces and nephews.
Services were Jan. 29 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
STEIN
SOUTH VACHERIE – Bruno Matthew Stein, 61, a native of Vacherie and resident of Chackbay, died Jan. 25. He was the husband of Corrine Lassere Stein and father of Tammy Oubre and Tommy and Troy Stein.
He was the son of the late Leonce and Margurite Webre Stein and brother of Mary Jane Duet, Clare Hymel, Huey, Ronald, Gary, Roland, Stephen, Edmond, Gerald, Patrick, Mark, Anthony and DrewPeter Stein and the late Mary Margaret, Guy and Claude Stein.
He is also survived by four grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 29 at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church, South Vacherie, with interment at the church mausoleum.
WOMER
DESTREHAN – Raymond “Whitty” David Womer Jr., 76, a native of Iowa, former resident of Harahan, St. Rose and Chatawa, Miss., and resident of Ponchatoula, died Jan. 25.
He was the husband of the late Doris Gauthreaux Womer and father of Barbara Ayme, Bridget Breaud and R. David Womer III.
He was the son of the late Raymond and Sara Womer, stepson of the late Caroline Womer and brother of June Watterson.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services were Jan. 28 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment at the church cemetery.
