BOURGEOIS

PAULINA – ONeil Joseph Bourgeois, 68, a native of Remy and resident of Paulina, died Aug. 5. He was the husband of Rose Webre Bourgeois.

He was the son of the late Vinzule Sr. and Grace Deslattes Bourgeois and brother of Mable Lambert, Mary Forsythe, Susann Brown, Gertrude Waguespack and Vinzule Jr., George and the late Nolan and Raymond Bourgeois.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

GAUTREAU

GARYVILLE – Alex John Gautreau, 64, a native of Gonzales and resident of Garyville, died Aug. 5. He was the husband of Amelia Roussel Daigle Gautreau, father of Craig, Layne, Jeffrey, Chad and the late John Gautreau and stepfather of Michelle Kinler and Carl Daigle.

He was the son of the late Dennis and Cecilia Decoteau Gautreau and brother of Lula Bell Brignac, Valburg Fife, Martha Perdue, Shirley Granier, Carolyn Wells and Vernon, Matthew and Dennis Gautreau Jr.

He is survived by five grandchildren.

He was a retired carpenter.

Services were Aug 7 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment at St. Peter Mausoleum, Reserve.

GRIMES

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Ellis Jake Bobby Grimes, 67, a native of Sellers (now Norco) and resident of Charlotte, N.C., died July 28. He was the husband of Vernell Bowie Grimes and father of Trenese Cockerham and Ellis Jr. and Jeffery Grimes.

He was the son of the late Joseph Sr. and Martha Grimes and brother of Agnes Watson and Joseph, Morris and the late Marshall Grimes.

He is also survived by three grandchildren, four stepchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services were Aug. 4 at Canaan Christian Center, Charlotte, N.C.

LEBLANC

LeBLANC HOUMA – Jacqueline R. LeBlanc, 49, a resident of LaPlace, died Aug. 3. She was the daughther of Don Crowdus Sr. and the late Patricia B. Crowdus and sister of Donna and Donald Crowdus.

Services were private.

LONDON

RIVER RIDGE – Clarence “Buggalee” London III, 51, a native of New Orleans and resident of Luling for the past 19 years, died July 28. He was the father of Michelle Strong, Antonio Walter and Darnel and Dennell London.

He was the son of Clarence London Jr. and the late Shirley Mae Douglas London and brother of Catrina Raynaud, Terry Kenner, Royline Whitted, Denise McKinsey, Willie Flagge and Donnie, Andrea, Annette, Leonard, Kip and Cassandra London.

He is survived by eight grandchildren.

Services were Aug. 4 in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home, River Ridge, with interment at Providence Memorial Park Cemetery, Metairie.

POLETO

GARYVILLE – Bertha Amedee Poleto, 83, a native of Vacherie and resident of Garyville for 75 years, died Aug. 3. She was the wife of the late Sam Joseph Poleto and mother of Judy Toups and Allen Poleto.

She was the daughter of the late Sulpice and Lavinia Weber Amedee and sister of Sultana Rodrigue, Loranza Blank and the late Georgina Simon, Annette Simon, Yvette Waguespack, Fedilise Hymel, James Samuel and Norman Amedee.

She is survived by six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services were Aug. 7 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

PRESTON

RESERVE – Agnes Carter Preston, 85, a resident of Reserve, died July 30.

She was the wife of the late John Preston and mother of Eva Joseph, Audrey LeBray and Ernest, Norman, John and the late Diane Johnson.

She was the daughter of the late James C. and Mary C. Kelly and sister of Clarence Carter.

She is survived by 19 grandchildren, 38 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Aug. 6 at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Reserve, with interment at the church cemetery.

RICHARDSON

METAIRIE – Thurston Raymond Richardson, 73, a native of New Orleans and resident of LaPlace for nine years, died Aug. 3.

He was the husband of Mary Guillory Richardson and father of Linda Lee, Judy May, Janis Cullen and Patrick and Stephen Richardson.

He was the brother of Marylyn Walker and Norman Richardson.

He is survived by 12 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

He was a U.S. Navy seaman second class during World War II, a former owner of Richardson Auto Sales and employee of Gerrard Chevrolet.

Services were Aug. 6 in the chapel of Lake Lawn Funeral Home, Metairie, with interment at Lake Lawn Park Mausoleum.

ROBINS

RIVER RIDGE – Edward Harrison Robins, 76, a native of St. Rose and resident of New Orleans, died July 31.

He was the husband of the late Hazel Robins and father of Lillian Owens, Demetri Carter and Donald, Kirk, Ronald, Michael, Tommie and Kenton Robins.

He is survived by six brothers, five sisters, 17 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services were Aug. 4 in the chapel of Richardson Funeral Home, River Ridge, with interment at St. Rose Cemetery.
