A Vacherie man was found guilty of manslaughter Thursday, and he could now face up to 40 years in prison. Donald Favorite, 23, was convicted after a three-day trial and was found guilty of shooting Brice Grows, 22, of Edgard outside a nightclub called The Hot Spot. Though the defense argued that the shooting was self-defense, the jury found Favorite guilty. He is being held at the Sherman R. Walker Correctional Center until sentencing later this summer.
