River Parish couple marry in Destrehan

Iris Johanna Cervato of LaPlace and Brett James Borne of New Sarpy were married April 27 at St. Charles Borromeo Church in Destrehan, with Monsignor John Phuc officiating. A reception followed at the Crystal Plantation in Kenner. The bride wore a shoulder-length gown with white rose buds and her veil was also decorated with white rose buds. She carried a bouquet of white tulips. The bridemaids wore lavendar gowns and their bouquets consisted of white, lavendar and pink tulips. The bridegroom’s attire was a black tuxedo and silver tie. Groomsmen wore black tuxedos with lavendar ties. The bride is the daughter of Bertha I. and Richardo Moran of LaPlace. The bridegroom is the son of Laura Borne of New Sarpy and Keith Borne of Norco. The maid of honor was Denise Bergeron of Metairie and bridesmaids were Janelle Vicknair of Destrehan, Erin Trepagnier of Kenner, Cristina Moran of LaPlace and Janissa Laviolette of St. Amant. The junior bride was Krystal Weber of LaPlace. Best man was Keith Borne of New Sarpy. Groomsmen were Ramon Ramos of Baton Rouge, Marcus Lambert of New Sarpy, Roger Borne of LaPlace and Jeffrey Vicknair of LaPlace. Usher was Chris Vicknair. Following the ceremony, the couple took a honeymoon trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn., and now reside in LaPlace.
