LULING – Marie Dufrene Clulee, 81, a native of Lockport and resident of Luling for many years, died May 2. She was the mother of Marlene Savoie, Joann Schexnayder and Lionel, Neal and Charles Clulee Jr.She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.Services were May 4 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, with interment at St. Charles Cemetery, Luling.DEEREY
HAMMOND – Carol Ann Rambo Deerey, 41, a native of LaPlace and resident of Hammond, died May 2. She was the wife of James Patrick Deerey Sr. and mother of James Jr. and Frank Deerey.She was also the daughter of Jerold and Ruth Rambo of LaPlace and sister of Jerry, Jeff and Rick Rambo.She is also survived by two nephews, Joshua and Jerry Rambo Jr.Services are today at 1 p.m. in the chapel of Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home, Hammond, with interment at Parkland Memorial Green Cemetery, Ponchatoula. MARRERO – Lewis “Boog” Gordon, 65, a native of Edgard and resident of Marrero for 45 years, died April 29. He was the stepfather of Rosa Faye Phillips and Walter Stevenson.He was also the son of the late Alma Clofer and Gordon and Isreal Gordon Sr. and brother of Juanita Gillard, Geraldine Boudin and Isreal Jr., Semius, James, Thomas, Harold and the late Julius, Dennis, Raymond and Doloris Gordon.He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.Services are today at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Davis Mortuary Services, Marrero, with interment at Evening Star Baptist Cemetery, Harvey. LAPLACE – Louise “Nanso” Jones, 76, a native of Lions and resident of Reserve, died April 26. She was the mother of Hilton and Donnie Johnson, Michael and Myron Creecy, Evelina Chamblee, Sheila Caeser and Carmen Holland and stepmother of Laural Alexander, Dottie Jackson, Barbara Johnson, Johnny Creecy, Leland Creecy and the late Eddie Creecy Jr. and Albertine Gray.She was also the sister of Eddie Jones and the late Felix Jones Jr.She is also survived by 50 grandchildren and 80 great-grandchildren.Services were May 4 at Providence Baptist Church, LaPlace, with interment at Rest Haven Cemetery, LaPlace.OLIVER
SLIDELL – Genevieve L. Oliver, 80, a native of Killona, longtime resident of New Orleans and resident of Slidell, died May 1. She was the wife of the late Chester W. Oliver and mother of Jo Ann Morse, Charles, Morris, Reinsford and Danny Bazzelle and Donald and Walter Oliver.She was also the daughter of the late Romain and Hermania Madere Lemoine and sister of Lorraine “Tiny” Noll and Richard and Rex Lemoine.She is also survived by 16 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.She was a clerk at Woolworth Department Store on Canal Street for 25 years.Services were May 4 in the chapel of Honaker Funeral Home, Slidell, with interment at Forest Lawn Cemetery.PRICE

PAULINA – Mary Alda Delauneville Schexnayder, 99, a native of Garyville and resident of LaPlace, died May 3. She was the wife of the late Irwin “Jack” Schexnayder and mother of Lucy Rosenthal, Adelle Robinson and Jamie Paige.She was also the daughter of the late Robert and Adella Lambert Delauneville. She was also preceded in death by four sisters and one brother.She is also survived by eight grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.Services are today at noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, with interment at the church cemetery. DESTREHAN – May Keller Schexnaydre, 91, a native of Edgard and resident of Destrehan for 69 years, died May 1. She was the wife of the late Benoit Schexnaydre and mother of Lesa Poche and Rene, Charles Sr., Lydia and the late Donald Schexnaydre.She was also the daughter of the late Rene and Renee Kliebert Keller and sister of Richard Keller and the late Beulah Trosclair and Harold, Norvan and Norman Keller.She is also survived by six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one great-grandchild.Services were May 4 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan, with interment at the church mausoleum.
