Couple wed at Tezcuco Plantation

Melanie Marie Millet of LaPlace and Joseph Albert Moreau of Tioga, La. were united in marriage Dec. 9 at the Tezcuco Plantation in Darrow, La. The Rev. Major Speights officiated the ceremony. A reception was also held at the Tezcuco Plantation, following the ceremony. The bride is the daughter of the late Verna Weber Millet and the late Norman Millet Sr. The bride groom is the son of Alice and Harrison Moreau Jr. of Tioga, La. The bride wore an ivory sheath gown of French satin with fabric flowers over the shoulders and adorned with iridescent sequins and pearl appliques. She also wore a V-band headpiece fingertip veil. The maid of honor was Brittany Whitehead of LaPlace, she wore a blue iridescent French satin spaghetti strap gown with a corseted back. The groom, best man and the bride’s son wore Ralph Lauren Hudson tuxedoes with Crosswick shirts, finished with a button enhancer. The bride was given away by her son, Brandon Whitehead of LaPlace. The best man was David Moreau of Tioga, La. The flower girl was Jessica Cuti of Prairieville and the ring bearer was Cody Moreau of Jacksonville, N.C. Following a honeymoon train ride to Memphis, Tenn., the couple now reside in LaPlace.
