LAPLACE – St. Charles Catholic High School announces its Krewe de Charles XV carnival ball royal court. Sixteen couples competed for this year’s title of King and Queen of the Krewe de Charles XV. The theme of the 15th annual event is “An Evening of Tropical Enchantment.” The Krewe de Charles XV Bal Masque will take place Feb. 3 at 7 p.m. in St. Charles Catholic High School’s gymnasium. Following the retirement of the royal court, the royal band will perform. Tickets for the event are $6 each and can be purchased at the school. Representing the Pacific Islands as the queen of the Krewe de Charles XV court is Sarah Beth Roussel, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert “Poncho” Roussel of Paulina.
