Super event set Jan. 27 in Lutcher
Everyone knows that this Sunday is Super Bowl Sunday. This article is to inform the men of the River Parishes about “Super Bowl Saturday” in Lutcher. This Saturday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 a.m., at the K.C. Home in Lutcher, Get High on Life will sponsor a men’s prayer breakfast. It’s billed at Super Bowl Saturday Men’s Prayer Breakfast. All the men of the River Parishes are invited and encouraged to attend. The motive – to draft men willing to be on God’s team, promoting His Kingdom, and gaining the only victory that counts – a personal relationship with His Son, Jesus. Yes, God’s team! I’ve heard it said that T.E.A.M. stands for “Together, Everyone Accomplishes More.” I am reminded that the first two letters in God is G.O. That should encourage us to go as a team and share the Good News of the Gospel. My friend, Mel Petit of Convent, has arranged the use of the K.C. Home. Words cannot express our appreciation for the kindness of the Lutcher Knights of Columbus. Lynn “Moose” Trosclair, Kenneth “Wop” Foret, C.J. Brock and Mel Petit are the leaders of the K.C. cooking team that will prepare the breakfast. They are the leaders, but many men behind the scenes, too many to mention, do most of the work. (I’m sure my friend, Mr. Hickley Chabaud, will appreciate this.) Mr. Herman Lemoine and Father Poche will provide the music. It’s promised to be a time of good fellowship, a hearty breakfast and a message that will change some lives. Don’t forget Saturday, Jan. 27, at 7:30 a.m., at the K.C. Home in Lutcher – Men’s Super Bowl Prayer Breakfast. Make plans to attend and invite a friend!
