Free art classes for St. Charles Parish senior citizens, age 60 and up,
are from noon to 3 p.m. at the New Sarpy Senior Citizen Center. The class is taught by local artist and member of the Le Petit Art Guild, Edie Corso. Supplies are furnished by St. Charles Parish Parks and Recreation Department. Call Lois Eugene at 764-2412 to join.
An adolescent/teen support group for adolescents, teens and their parents
in dealing with lifes changes (school problems, drugs and alcohol, teen pregnancy, conflicts, depression, suicidal behavior and uncontrolled anger) is from 6-7 p.m. at River Parishes Hospital, medical office building. A Murder mystery fund-raiser, “Crowds Love Unexpected Endings,”
featuring the Destrehan High School Drama Department is at 1 and 7 p.m. in the DHS Wildcat Banquet Room. Admission is a $23 donation, which includes a full-course meal. Tickets are available by calling 764-9946 or e-mail ddastugue@stcharles.k12.la.us.
“Late Night Catechism,” a play presented by Le Petit Theatre,
takes place at St. Charles Borromeo Churchs Fred Roth Memorial Activity Center in Destrehan. The doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Tickets are $30 (including refreshments – no alcohol) and are available through the church office or by calling (504) 764-6383. Only 350 tickets will be sold – reserved seating.
“Calling All Colors” program and potluck dinner
