The first “Howl-In-One” Golf Tournament and “Howl-in-ween” Costume Party helped make Halloween fun for adults while supporting efforts to raise money for humane programs and stab and ballistic vests for St. Charles Parishcanine police dogs.

A strong group effort by the St. Charles Humane Society (SCHS) volunteersand sponsors made the first annual Howl-in-One events triumphant. Specialtributes to volunteers goes to SCHS treasurer, Nancy McCann, chairperson of the golf tournament, Brenda Williams, coordinator of the costume party and Carol Fors for an exceptional job on the silent auction. Volunteers whohelped at the party and the tournament include Brenda Marino, LeeAnn Matherne, Donna Nassar, Joan DuRocher, Pam Talley, Rita Elliot, Kathie Kern, Peter and Karen Abate, Marian Hebert and Jackie Boudreaux.
