Rudner, Richoux win Andouille race; Vinet, Taylor finish first in 2-mile walk

LAPLACE – The 22nd annual Andouille Run brought runners from across the River Parishes and beyond to help the St. John A.R.C. and Special Olympics.The five-mile run and two-mile walk started Sunday morning as participants met at Union Planters Bank on Belle Terre Boulevard. Awards were given tothe top 12 male and female participants in the two-mile walk and the first male and female in the five-mile run. The two top walkers in each agecategory also were awarded.

The fastest runners this year were Glen Rudner, who finished in 27:52, and Mickie Richoux who finished in 40:15.

The lead male runners in each age category were: age 15-19, Michael Arcuri 29:21, Chris Constantine 33:23, Greg Smith 33:55 and Paul Champagne 39:14; age 20-24, Zack Bordelon 30:33 and Scott Verdon 36:21; age 30-34, Scott Muller 35:29, Stacy Richoux 41:43 and Beaver Brown 46:50; age 35- 39, Tom Baer 36:30, John Millet 42:11, John Therot 54:09 and Mark Chapman 54:30; age 40-44, J.J. Waguespack 34:01, Ken Masset 37:12, Jones Brown40:16, Joe Triano 41:10 and Kyle Cason 48:43; age 45-49, Jeff Gohd 35:17, Dale Hymel 39:21, Tom Daley 39:37, Robert Arcuri 40:57 and Jay Fisse 45:00 ; age 50-54, Richard Holmes 40:09, Mitch Elfen 43:42, David Ramirez 52:40 and Mike Oubre 54:27; age 55-59 Jim Marsalis 35:02, Gary Triche 37:53, Bob Murphy 43:21, Jack Hayes 50:06 and Barry Roussel 51; and 66 and over, Robert Madere 40:53.

The lead female runners in each age category were: under 14, Ashley Wilking 53:44; age 25-29, Chanel Raiford 50:12 and Kimberly Hildago 50:52; age 30- 34, Sherry Hubbard 45:30 and Heather Williams 50:52; age 35-39, Annette Simon 47:59; age 40-44, Ursula Joseph 46:54, Liz Blank 50:54 and Theresa Fisse 54:09; age 45-49, Margean Gohd 47:35.

In the two-mile walk the overall winners were Keith Vinet, 10:58, and Yoshiko Taylor, 13:27.

The top 12 males were Vinet, Ben Rongey, Kraig Cason, Jesse LeBlanc, Preston Hayes, Tim Hoover, Joshua Arceneaux, Mike Davis, Bart Mullins, Michael Martinez, Louie Brazan and Shannon Penn.

The top 12 female walkers were Taylor, Carey King, Stephanie Pousson, Erica Penn, Valarie King, Brandi Hoover, Jill LeBlanc, Abby Calderera, Joanne Falterman, Marti Calderera, Barbara Miller and Rachel Heltz.
