DESTREHAN – The Fighting Wildcats of Destrehan welcomed South Terrebonne to their stadium and sent them away with a 31-0 loss.
Destrehan moved to 6-1 overall and 3-1 in District 7-5A. South Terrebonnedropped to 0-3 in district and 2-5 overall.
Freddie Smith opened the game with a touchdown reception, one of eight receptions for 125 yards for Destrehan.
In the second quarter, Craig Eugene snared a 35-yard pass reception for a touchdown, edging the score to 14-0.
In the third, Dechad Ward scored on a 5-yard rush. Ward had a total of 17carries for 84 yards, and four receptions for 26 additional yards. Also in thethird quarter, Keith Robinson added a 1-yard touchdown run, which bumped the tally to 28-0.
Finally, in the fourth quarter, Jonathan Scifres booted a 33-yard field goal for the last score of the evening, and a 31-0 victory for Destrehan.
Destrehan welcomes South Lafourche while South Terrebonne plays at Thibodaux.
