Hahnville wins again on the road Lutcher, SCC fall in non-district

RACELAND – Hahnville traveled to Raceland this week to do battle with Central Lafourche, and they came away as victors as they beat the Trojans 26-11 The Tigers had 310 total offensive yards and 248 of those were in rushing as Skyler Boyle rushed 27 times for 137 yards and one touchdown. In thereception arena, Mark Young had two receptions for 55 yards and one touchdown. Quarterback Dejuan Landry had an eight for three evening for 62yards and one touchdown with no interceptions. Except for the first quarter,the Tigers scored in every quarter while the Trojans were held to a field goal in the first quarter and a touchdown in the third.
Next week the unbeaten Tigers will host South Lafourche.
Assumption 28, Lutcher 17
NAPOLEONVILLE – The leading high school rusher in the state, Brandon Jacobs continued to build up incredible stats as his team the Assumption Mustangs edged out Lutcher, 28-17, in Napoleonville Friday night.
The close score was reflected in the stats of the game. Lutcher had a totalof 228 yards as compared to the Mustangs’ 295 yards. However,Assumption’s yardage mostly came from their rushing with Jacobs running for 217 of the team’s 242 rushing yards. Jacobs also had threetouchdowns.
In the fifth week of the football season, Jacobs already has 1,215 yards in rushing.
Lutcher did have two good rushers in William Davis and Tyrone Martin who each rushed for 48 yards. The Bulldogs out-paced the Mustangs in passingwith 102 yards as compared to 55 yards. However, the Lutcher quarterbackwas intercepted twice. He did throw for one touchdown.The Bulldogs only scored in the second and third quarters while the Mustangs scored in every quarter except the third.
The 2-3 Lutcher Bulldogs move to LaPlace next week to play their division rivals the 2-3 St. Charles Catholic Comets.
Parkview 31, SCC 0
BATON ROUGE – Parkview rolled to a 31-0 victory over St. Charles Catholic ina non-district battle Friday night.
