BOURGEOIS
PAULINA – Bessie “Ba-Bess” Bourgeois, 86, a native and resident of Lutcher, died Sept. 17. She was the daughter of the late Fredrick Sr. and AnnetteBaudry Bourgeois and sister of the late Lessie Doussan and Fred Jr., Larris,Vernon, Rene and Hilton Bourgeois.
Services were Sept. 19 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Paulina, withinterment at the church cemetery.
BRADLEY
DESTREHAN – Mary Elizabeth Gavin “Dookeye” Bradley, 88, a native of Quitman, Miss., and resident of LaPlace, died Sept. 14. She was the wife ofthe late Victor E. Bradley Sr. and mother of Mary Ann Abadie and VictorBradley Jr.
She was also the sister of Aline Bullock and the late C. Burr Gavin.She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren and was preceded in death by two grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 18 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Destrehan,with interment at Garden of Pines Cemetery, Covington.
CHOW
LAPLACE – Ngan Siu Chow, 83, a native of China and resident of LaPlace for 15 years, died Sept. 11. She was the mother of Yuet Wong Chong and HenryWong.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept 16 in the chapel of Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
DESSELLE
LULING – Linda Marie Desselle, a resident of Luling, died Sept. 13. She was thewife of Jerry Desselle and mother of Christian Desselle.
She was also the daughter of Iris Armand Desselle and the late Arthur Desselle and sister of Theresa, Dean and Patricia Desselle.
Services were Sept. 15 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, with intermentat St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Bordelonville.
EDLER
LAPLACE – Josephine M. “Josie” Edler, 67, a native and resident of LaPlace,died Sept. 16. She was the wife of Lionel “Pickle” Edler Jr. and mother ofMarlene Duhe, Angela McGuire and Rory and Scott Edler.
She was also the daughter of the late Dominick and Mary Milioto and sister of Joseph Milioto.
She is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 18 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace, withinterment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.
ELLIS
GARYVILLE – Rose Mae Jones Ellis, 75, a native of Convent and resident of Garyville, died Sept. 15. She was the wife of Nelson Ellis Jr. and mother ofNorma Lewis and Barry Sr., Kenneth Sr., Norman, Steven and Vernon Ellis.She was also the daughter of the late Joseph and Precilla Jones and sister of Verna Picou.
She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 17 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, withinterment at St. Michael Cemetery, Convent.
FAUCHEUX
VACHERIE – Emile J. “Canoon” Faucheux Sr., 86, a native and resident ofVacherie, died Sept. 16. He was the husband of Cecilia M. “Sue” WaguespackFaucheux and father of Geraldine Labat, Emile Jr. and Norman Faucheux andthe late Claudia Senet.
He was also the son of the late Landry and Clothilde Oubre Faucheux and brother of the late Amelia Roussel, Ludivine Millet, Odette Rodrigue, Jeanne Chappais, Elma Cambre, Carmen Rodrigue and Ferducie, Etienne and Felicie Faucheux.
He is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
Services were Sept. 18 at St. Philip Catholic Church, Vacherie, withinterment at the church mausoleum.
RUSSELL
NORCO – Karron Michelle Russell, 33, a native of Galveston, Texas, and resident of Destrehan for 30 years, died Sept. 12. She was the wife ofGeorge Russell III and mother of Britani and Derak Russell.
She was also the daughter of Catherine Bowditch and Robert Senseney, stepdaughter of Benson Bowditch and sister of Bobby Senseny and Roben, Catherine, Scott and Laurie Bowditch.
She is also survived by grandparents Catherine Dickerson and Jimmie and Kay Senseney.
Services were Sept. 17 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander Funeral Home, Norco,with interment at Jefferson Memorial Gardens, St. Rose.
WHITE
NORCO – Alex White, 76, a native of Rosetta, Miss., and resident of Norco for45 years, died Sept. 13. He was the husband of Rose Lee White and father ofRose Romant-Todd, Alice Sykes, Glendora Stephens and Donna, Mary, James, Sterling, Cedric and Nathaniel White.
He is also survived by 38 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Services were Sept. 18 at Good Hope Baptist Church, Norco, with intermentat Montz Memorial Park Cemetery, Montz.
ZERINGUE
HAHNVILLE – David Joseph “Whip” Zeringue, 60, a native and resident of Luling, died Sept. 16. He was the husband of Linda M. Zeringue.He was also the son of the late Noah and Beulah Lacroix Zeringue and brother of Barbara Gaubert, Earline Hava and Irma Johnson.
He was a member of the Luling Volunteer Fire Department for 28 years.
Services were Sept. 18 at Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary Catholic Church,Hahnville, with interment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.
