RESERVE – East St. John pitched its second straight shutout, blankingWarren Easton, 37-0, at Joe Keller Stadium Friday night.

East St. John, which sut out St. James, 20-0, in week two, improved to 2-1 on the season. Easton fell to 1-2.Chuckie Burl got the Wildcats on the scoreboard in the first quarter on a 1-yard run. Chance Blank added the extra point for a 7-0 lead. TremaineMoore made it 14-0 in the second quarter on a 2-yard run. Blank added a26-yard field goali, giving East St. John a 17-0 lead at the break.Moore scored his second touchdown on a 3-yard run to make it 24-0 in the third quarter. Darwin Pittman added a 3-yard touchdown run to increasethe lead to 31-0. Blank then found Raydel Patterson for a 27-yardtouchdown pass in the fourth quarter for a 37-0 lead.

East St. John finished with 231 yards rushing and 435 yards in totaloffense. Burl led the way with 15 carries for 107 yards and a touchdown.Moore added 55 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries. Pittmancompleted 11 of his 17 passes for 173 yards and an interception. Blankfinished 2-for-3 for 31 yards and a score. Patterson caught five passesfor 85 yards and a score. Wade Walker had two catches for 62 yards. East St. John opens District 7-5A play next week against Hahnville athome.

Hahnville 41, Northside 26 LAFAYETTE – Hahnville improved to 3-0 with a 41-26 victory at Northside Friday night.

Northside fell to 1-2.
