The HOSTS program, Help One Student To Succeed, is an easy way for people concerned about the state of public education to make a personal difference. It’s a simple program where one person volunteers one hour perweek from their lives, and dedicates it to mentoring one child.

The results are dramatic. The children feel they have the exclusiveattention of an adult, something they may be lacking. What happens isoften a sharp improvement of their grades and improvement in their conduct.

In a time where entertainment often replaces values and complaining often replaces true commitment, HOSTS is a shining example of something easy and simple, which works.

We urge people to get involved in HOSTS. Our children and our future are atstake.
