Tulane signs Bush

NEW ORLEANS – Chris Bush and Roydell Williams combined to give East St.
John a potent one-two punch at wide receiver over the last couple of years.
The two are going to be teammates once again in college as Tulane announced the signing of Bush this week.
Scholarships for Bush, Eastern Hills (Fort Worth, Texas) running back Jeff Kirven, Catholic (New Iberia) offensive lineman Joseph Mitchell and Clear Creek (Houston) linebacker Blake Baker opened up recently with the transfer of running back Michael Burks, the inelgibility of Ronald McClendon and the acceptance of medical hardships by two players.
Bush was an all-District 7-5A selection in 1999, catching 31 passes for 565 yards and six touchdowns. Williams, an all-state selction, signed with theGreen Wave in February.
In other recruiting news, LSU signee Corey Webster from St. James came upa point short on his ACT score and is deciding on going to LSU as a partial qualifier or heading to Berkshire Prep School in Sheffield, Mass.
If Webster goes to prep school, he would have four years of eligibility remaining. If he goes to LSU, he would be allowed to practice but not play ingames. He is taking the ACT again Friday.
