ARNOLD

HAHNVILLE – Beatrice G. Arnold, 84, a native and resident of Hahnville, diedAug. 1. She was the wife of the late Wesley E. Arnold and mother of MyraVass, Anna Russell and Donald and Gregory Arnold.

She was also the sister of Elsie Hymel, Tyrus Keller and the late Ralph and Alvin Gourgues and Roswell and Alvin Keller Jr.

She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services were Aug. 4 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville, withinterment at the church cemetery, Taft.

BOURGEOIS

RESERVE – Lola A. Bourgeois, 68, a native and resident of LaPlace, died July31. She was the wife of George L. Bourgeois and mother of Patrice Austinand Eric, Clinton, Aaron, Adrian, Travis and the late Capt. George L.Bourgeois III.

She was also the sister of Annie Mae Wilson and Norman, Earl and the late Herbert Mitchell Jr.

She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Shewas preceded in death by two grandchildren.

She was a retired school bus driver for St. John the Baptist Parish SchoolSystem.

Services were Aug. 3 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

DAVIS

NEW ORLEANS – Stella Jordan Davis, 88, a native of St. James and residentof Gretna and New Orleans, died July 30. She was the mother of AltheaThomas.

She is also survived by four grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

Services were Aug. 4 at First Free Mission Baptist Church, New Orleans, withinterment at New Hope Cemetery, Gretna.

HARGIS

CONVENT – Beatrice Hargis, 88, a native and resident of Convent, died July 29. She was the daughter of the late Lea Duhe and Elias Hargis and sister ofEdna Landry, Maria Price and Elias Jr., Entoine and Joseph Hargis.Services are today at 11 a.m. at St. Michael Catholic Church, Convent, withinterment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 10 a.m.
