Yes, it was that time of year again. Camp time. The time when sometimeschildren are unwillingly sent to camp. Well, this year I went to camp, but Iwanted to go. Our youth camp was in Biloxi, Miss. That wasn’t good newsfor me because I am not a big fan of the beach.
Secondly, on the bus, I found out that I would have to share a room with about another 10 boys. Well, this was not a good thought and it ended upbeing quite an experience. Most of the boys I was with were around 12years old. The first night we didn’t go to bed until 2 a.m. although we hadto wake up at 7 a.m. the next morning.Camp food wasn’t good. For breakfast we had eggs that jiggled. It wasfunny, but at the same time it was frightening.
There was one good thing about the camp. It was really the reason we allwent. The services were awesome. The speaker had excellent sermons thataffected us. The worship band was very good. All in all, my campexperience is one I will never forget.
