Destrehan seniors earn $1.3 million in scholarships

DESTREHAN – Thirty-eight Destrehan graduates in the Class of 2000 have been offered a total of $1,319,392 in scholarships.

Kevin Anderson was offered $11,448 from the University of New Orleans.

Brandt Arceneaux was offered $5,025 from The Citidel.

Dernell Arline was offered $500 from the 2000 Coalition for Leadership and Development.

Callie Beard was offered $50,000 from Tulane University and $40,000 from Loyola University.

Eric Bordelon was offered $32,000 from Loyola University.

Michael Bourgeois was offered $17,950 from Tulane University.

Alexis Captain was offered $24,000 from Loyola University.

J. Michael Carr was offered $9,960 from Indian River Community College inFlorida.

Michael Catalano was offered $20,000 from the University of Arkansas and $15,548 from Northwestern State University.

Brandon Choina was offered $5,200 from McNeese State University.

Victoria Coleman was offered $9,948 from the University of New Orleans.

Brooke Crocker was offered $40,000 from Loyola University, $1,750 from Discover Card, $24,648 from the University of New Orleans, $14,000 from Tulane University, a $23,500 legislative scholarship from Rep. Dartez, and$500 from the Saints Board of Realtors.

Justin Dolan was offered $5,000 from Methodist College.

Jodi Friedman was offered $28,500 from the University of Arizona.

Matthew Gabler was offered $1,250 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, $32,000 from Loyola University, $2,000 from Southeastern Louisiana University and $11,448 from the University of New Orleans.

Douglas Gautrau was offered $6,230 from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

Garret Ganucheau was offered $2,000 from the University of New Orleans.

Shannon Guillory was offered $2,000 from the University of New Orleans.

Tabitha Holloway was offered $32,000 from Loyola University and $2,000 from the University of New Orleans.

Lynette Howard was offered $3,000 from Dillard University.

Kelly Huber was offered $32,000 from Loyola University.

Jamall Johnson was offered a $17,896 football scholaship from Delta State University.

Michelle Lucas was offered $34,000 from Loyola University, $36,000 from Dickinson College in Pennsylvania, $2,500 from Trinity University, $6,000 from Louisiana Tech, $36,000 from Tulane University and $24,648 from the University of New Orleans.

Emily Meaden was offered $50,000 from Tulane University.

Tamar Meguerditchian was offered $32,000 from Loyola University and $11,448 from the University of New Orleans.

Kimberly Offutt was offered $32,000 from Loyola University.

Jeremy Parquet was offered a $45,672 football scholarship from University of Southern Mississippi.

Damien Richard was offered a $40,000 football scholarship from the University of Louisiana at Monroe.

David Sparacello was offered $4,000 from Nicholls State University.

Lacey Stockton was offered $56,000 from Tulane University, $8,000 from Auburn State University and $11,045 from the University of Alabama.

Racheal Terluin was offered $1,000 from Louisiana Burglars & Fire Alarm Association and $50,000 from Tulane University.

Chad Vicknair was offered $17,748 from Northwestern State University.

Nicholas Waguespack was offered $28,000 from Loyola University and the $250 Scotty Bourgeois Memorial Journalism scholarship.

Rachel Walsh was offered $6,000 from Louisiana State University, $14,000 from Tulane University, a $23,024 legislative scholarship from Rep.

Gary Smith, $15,000 from the University of Mississippi and $23,408 from Mississippi State University.

Derick Wenning was offered $34,000 from Loyola University plus a $16,000 music scholarship, $20,348 from Northwestern State University and $16,000 from Ohio State University.

Gaynia Williams was offered $5,000 from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

LaTeda Williams was offered $1,000 from the St. John Parish BusinessAssociation.

Magan Wrape was offered $56,000 from Tulane University.

Air Force ROTC scholarships and military academy appointment to Kaston Anderson (four-year Air Force ROTC Type II of $60,000), appointment to the Air Force Academy Preparatory School of $104,000; Brandt Arceneaux (four-year Air Force ROTC to The Citidel of $44,580 and four-year Naval ROTC to Vandebilt University of $121,032); Robert Forcha (three-year Air Force ROTC to Illinois Institute of Technology of $64,800; Emily Meaden (three-year Targeted Air Force ROTC to Tulane University of $89,202); Nicholas Moscona (three-year Air Force ROTC to The Citidel of $33,435).
