In the dictionary, amother is defined as “a female parent.” This brief definition does not beginto describe what a mother really is. Listed below are some quotes whichattempt to describe mothers.

Motherhood is, without question, the most important job in the world. Fromthe moment of the child’s conception, the mother is responsible for this miraculous life. Mothers are given the incredible challenge of being available24 hours of every day to care for her children. A wise mother realizes thatthis task is impossible without God’s continual assistance, and she seeks His assistance daily.
This Sunday, we honor all mothers for their unselfish devotion to their families. No one but God realizes the amount of time and energy that you putinto raising your children, and only He can equip you for this lifelong commitment.
Psalm 127:3 states: “children are a gift of the Lord, the fruit of the womb is a reward.” May God continue to pour out His blessings toward all mothers asthey daily care for these precious gifts.
To the children, I say honor your mother on this special day. Make acommitment today to love, honor and respect her every day for the rest of her life.
To all the mothers, I say happy Mother’s Day! You deserve it.
