NEW ORLEANS – Dance Unlimited of the River Parishes entered 17 routines in the Starbound New Orleans preliminary held recently. It not only received allgold awards, 14 routines were overall winners and the remaining three came in second.

“What a showing,” Duanne Cazalot says. “Out of 285 routines competing wewon four of the overall high scores. Our students have worked very hardover the past few years and now it is really starting to pay off. We havedefinitely made a name for ourselves among the elite studios.”Overall Top Model for ages 12 and under is MaQue Hollins. Shelley Hennig wasnamed the Overall Top Model for ages 13 and over. Top Covergirl for ages 12and under is Madison Sidwell. Shannie Cazalot won the Top Covergirl title for13 and over.

Winning the top award of gold placement are soloists Randi Marshall, MaQue Hollins, Magen LeBlanc, Paige Granier, Ariel Amedee, Allee Waguespack, Kyra Duhe, Shelley Hennig, Brandy Matulich and Amanda Guidry.

MaQue Hollins placed fifth Overall Top Soloist for 12 and under with her tap routine, choreographed by Laurie Falgoust. She also won the Top Model for12 and under with her Formalwear routine, also choreographed by Falgoust.

Shelley Hennig was named Overall Top Model for 13 and up with her sportswear routine, choreographed by Duanne Cazalot.

Winning first place in jazz large group, 15 to 16, are Shannie Cazalot, Stephanie Bayhi, Amanda Vinet, Nikki McGill, Travon August, Shelley Hennig, Amanda Guidry, Jodi Gennaro, Amanda Wilkes and Cherie Aucoin.

Receiving first place for tap small group, 15 to 16, are Jennifer Dangerfield, Qiana Bickham, Abby Forsythe, Lee Martin, Kathryn Coneybear, Rachel Nicholson, Tracy Schneider and Sarah Castille.

Winning first place in production, 13 to 14, are Lindsay Marshall, Brandy Matulich, Angela Ortiz, Amanda Guidry, Megan Marshall, Ashlynn Falgout, Michelle Watsky, Shelley Hennig, Sarena Gaylor, Megan Chiasson, Amanda Laque, Jessie Landry, Allee Waguespack, Christina Hanes, Aimee Chauvin, Trystin Williams, Caitlin Gilbert and Katie Songy.
