In my lifetime, I’ve had the privilege of seeing many alcoholics and drug addicts get drug-free. I’m also old enough to have seen many Christians dieand, according to their belief, go to be with their Heavenly Father.

During the years, one of the saddest groups of individuals that I’ve ever seen is alcoholics and drug addics who get drug-free and don’t ever have a spiritual experience. They go through life without joy, which the Bible says isour strength. They are sober, but not saved, and don’t enjoy a victoriouswalk here on Earth.

The other group of people who are sad and miserable are Christians who, when faced with death, are fearful and don’t enjoy the peace of God the last few days, or hours, here on Earth.

How will I react when that time comes? That’s the unknown. I only pray forfaith to walk the last mile as I’ve talked the victory during my journey toward eternity.

I know some of you must be saying – what a negative message during this Easter season. Well, if we really believe what we celebrate this Sunday, thismessage is the most positive you’ll ever receive.

As a Christian, we are supposed to believe that Jesus died for our sins. ByHis death, if we repent and make Him the lord of our lives, we will be saved and be entitled to life everlasting.

On the third day after His death, Jesus rose from the dead and Christians believe that He sits on His Father’s right hand in haven. By His resurrection,He defeated death – not death of our physical bodies – but spiritual death. In ICorinthians 15:55, the Bible says, “O death, where is thy sting?: O grave, where is thy victory?” This Sunday, we celebrate Resurrection Sunday. Jeanne and I wish you andyour families a happy and holy holiday! May all of you accept the gift of eternal life that Jesus paid in full at the Cross and guaranteed at the Resurrection.
