BLANK KENNERMary Ann Hebert Kirby Blank, 65, a native of Ponchatoula and resident of Gramercy for many years, died March 25. She was the wife ofthe late Glynn “Teeboy” Blank and the mother of Gayle Arceneaux and Michael, Dale and Bradley Blank.
She was also the daughter of Eula Hebert Bourque and the late Percy Hebert and the sister of Clara Louque, Brenda Farrar and the late and Earl, Paul, Stanley, Donald and Ronald Bourque.
She is also survived by five granchildren and one great-grandchild.
Services were held March 28 at Harry McKneely and Son, Ponchatoula with interment in Wetmore Cemetery.
DESSELLE LAPLACEAlbert “Capp” Desselle Jr., 86, a native of Marksville and lifelongresident of Garyville, died March 23. He was the husband of of Marie O.Desselle and father of Albert and Percy Desselle.
He was also the son of the late Albert Sr. and Rosie Desselle and brother ofthe late Lille McGlory and Jules, Alfred, Jacob and Clara Desselle.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granchild.
Services were held March 28 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville withinterment at St. Peter Cemetery.
LEWIS EDGARDMary Jane Lewis, 52, a native and resident of Edgard, died March 26. She was the mother of the Rev. Malcolm Lewis.She was also the daughter of Junius and Thelma Lewis and the sister of Betty Jackson, Janice Johnson, Amelia Swilley, Audrey Howard, Allen, Lionel, Sheryl Lewis and the late Cory Grows and Peter and Harold Lewis.
Services are today at 11 a.m. at the Second African Baptist Church, Edgardwith interment at Young Cemetery, Edgard. Visitation begins at 9 a.m.
MELANCON DES ALLEMANDSBernardine St. Amant Melancon, 73, a native and residentof Des Allemands, died March 24. She was the wife of the late Desire “Black”Melancon and mother of Robert, Stephen and Lonnie Gervais and Jill Blanchard. She was also the stepmother of Jerry Melancon and Janet Folse.She was also the daughter of the late Francious and Catherine Trauth St.
Amant and sister of Norman St. Amant, Nettie Multer, Vera Neil and the lateFrank Ignatious, Jesse, Alton, Van, Nolan, Gerald and Marvin St. Amant, EliseCocke and Iona Cantrelle.
She is also survived by seven grandchildren, eight stepgrandchildren and three stepgreat-granchildren.
Services were held March 27 at St. Gertrude Cemetery, Des Allemands.
WEBER RESERVEHarold J. Weber Sr., 77, a native and resident of Reserve, diedMarch 21. He was the husband of Theresa A. Weber and father of HaroldWeber Jr. and Theresa Keating.He was the son of the late Lionel and Martine Weber and brother of Leona Kosztolanyi.
He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
Services were held March 27 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
