BLAIR LULING – Michael David Blair, 53, native of Jenkins, Ky., and resident of Lulingfor many years, died March 21. He was the husband of Janis Blair and thefather of Amanda Blair.

He was also the brother of Charleen Schaffner, Mary Lynn Moore Frank and Charles, Devin, Patrick and Chris Blair.

Services were held March 24 at Holy Family Catholic Church, Luling, with interment at St. Charles Mausoleum, Luling.

BURRELL HAHNVILLE – Ida Joseph Dee Burrell, 95, a native and resident of Hahnville, died March 21. She was the wife by first marriage of the late David Dee andby second marriage of the late Dennis Burrell. She was mother of Joseph DeeSr., Theresa Burrell, Helen Vinnett and the late Melvin Burrell Sr.She was also the daughter of the late Tousine Pierre and Emile S. Joseph Sr.and sister of Eliska Toups, Aniece and Emile Joseph, Ernestine Smith, Albert Joseph and Angelina Johnson.

She is survived by seven grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 24 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Hahnville, with entombment at Holy Rosary Cemetery, Taft.

CEMERE DALLAS – Ione Wood Caro Cemere, 84, a native of New Orleans and resident of Dallas, died March 18. She was the wife by first marriage of the lateRonald Caro and by second marriage of the late Nathan Cemer and mother of Ronald and Russel Caro.

She was also the sister of Katherine Vincent, Ann Magee and Martha Matthews.

She is also survived by three grandchildren and was preceded in death by one grandchild.

Services were held March 23 at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, with interment at Garden of Memories Cemetery, Metairie.

FOBB NEW ORLEANS – Mertha Mashia Fobb, 50, a native and resident of New Sarpy, died March 20. She was the wife of Hebert Fobb Jr. and the mother ofTamara Tanish and Tawanna Fobb.

She was also the daughter of Maomi Howard Moore and the late Adam Mashia and sister of John Morre Jr. and the late William Moor and David White. She isalso survived by one granddaughter.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at House of Prayer Baptist Church, NewSarpy, with interment at New Sarpy Cemetery.

GRIFFIN RESERVE – Beatrice Leona Florian Griffin, 86, a native of Reserve and resident of Los Angeles for the past three years, died on March 19. She wasthe wife of of the late John C. Griffin and mother of Rosemary Green.She was also the sister of the late Rev. Jack Florian and Frank Sr., Victoria,Mary Frances, Moretta, Alfornce, Mary Ida and Ezekiel Florian and Catherine Eugene.

She is also survived by two granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held today at 10 a.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, Reserve,with interment at Bethlehem Cemetery, Reserve.

JACOB LAPLACE – Robert “Ba-But” Jacob, 78, a native and resident of LaPlace, died March 21. He was the husband of Shirley Haydel Jacob and father of BobbieKeating, Cynthia Madere and Robert “Butch” Jacob.

He was also the son of the Late Nelson and Camille Jacob and brother of Ludger Jacob and the late Henry “Diddy” Jacob.

He is survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 24 at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, LaPlace,with interment at St. John Memorial Gardens, LaPlace.

OUBRE GARYVILLE – Rene A. Oubre, 95, a native of Gramercy and resident ofGaryville for the past 70 years, died March 21. He was the husband of LeonaOubre and father of Earl, Rodney, Warren and Rene Oubre III, Doris Jacob, Nelwyn LeBoeuf, Lois Falgoust and Carolyn Cashio.

He was also the son of the late Rene and Odile Oubre and brother of Pierre, Richard, Hubert and Claude Oubre, Melba Cambre and Armentine Klibert.

He is also survived by 29 grandchildren, 49 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren.

Services were held March 23 at St. Hubert Catholic Church, Garyville, withinterment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

ROUSSELLE EDGARD – Lory J. “E.J.” Rousselle, 63, a native of Taft and resident ofEdgard, died March 15. He was the husband of Shirley Rousselle and father ofBelinda Price and the late Lory Rousselle.

He was also the son of the late Augusta Rousselle and Evelina Harris and brother of Frances Chester, Perkin and Lloyd Harris, Octavia Green and the late Ernestine Hall, Gustavia Green, Shirley Dixon, Augusta Rousselle Jr. andElsie Edwards.

He is also survived by three grandchildren.

Services were held March 24 at New Jeruselum Baptist Church, Edgard.

TREGRE HOUMA – Lucy Marie Tregre, 63, a native and resident of Vacherie, died March 23. She was the mother of Sara Kraemer.She was also the sister of Herbert, Benoit, Alfred, Edwin, Lee, Kraemer and Robert Trege, Earline and Sally Dufrene and the late Guy Tregre.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Victory Assembly of God, Vacherie, withinterment at Our Lady of Peace, Vacherie.

WEBER RESERVE – Harold J. Weber Sr., 78, a native and resident of Reserve, diedMarch 21. He was the husband of Theresa A. Weber and father of Harold Jr.and Theresa Keating.

He was also the son of the late Lionel and Martine Weber and brother of Leona Kosztolanyi.

He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services are March 27 at 1 p.m. at Millet-Guidry Funeral Home, LaPlace, withinterment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve. Visitation is from 5-10 p.m.Sunday and begins at 11:30 a.m. Monday.
