Ramada Inn honored for helping childrenL’Observateur / March 8, 2000LULING – Twenty-seven needy children in 12 countries are now being helped because of the Ramada Inn, Luling.

General Manager Jose Gonzalez said the hotel was recently honored as a Top Sponsoring Hotel by Childreach, a worldwide humanitarian organization, at ceremonies in Orlando, Fla.
“The collaboration between our guests, our vendors and our staff helps to make a difference,” Gonzalez said. “Childreach builds better lives forchildren and gives them the chance to grow up health, learning basic skills while living in safe and productive communities.”Ramada became the founding corporate sponsor of Childreach in 1994 after visits to the Dominican Republic by Ramada president Steven Belmonte.
Founded in 1937 as Foster Parents Plan, Childreach assists children in Africa, Asia and Central America, providing services such as health care, education, food and family livelihood assistance.
Sponsors, by donating $22 per month, can receive monthly progress reports, photographs and letters on sponsored children.Back to Top
