ADAMS

RESERVE – Harriet “Sister” Alexander Adams, 92, a native and resident of Reserve, died Jan. 31. She was the wife of Henry Adams Sr. and mother ofHenry Jr., Phillip and the late Carroll Adams.She was also the daughter of the late Dejean and Desiree Duroncelet Alexander and sister of Mabel Bossier and the late Edna and Fred Alexander.

She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and many geat-great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 4 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Reserve,with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

ALEXANDER

LAPLACE – Joseph Alexander, 90, a native of St. Charles Parish and residentof New Orleans, died Feb. 2. He was the father of Geraldine Johnson andLaura, Vernon, Joseph, Edmond and Robert Alexander.

He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses,LaPlace, with interment at Montz Cemetery. Visitation starts at 10:30 a.m.

ANDERSON

RESERVE – Clarice Anderson, 53, a native of LaPlace, resident of Los Angeles for 35 years, and resident of LaPlace, died Jan. 29. She was the daughter ofLouis Anderson Sr. and sister of Wilhelmina Jones, Leona Conerly and LouisJr., Walter, Frederick Sr., Raymond Sr., Richard, Leroy, Lawrence Sr.,Clarence Sr. and Roland Anderson Sr.Services are today at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church,Reserve, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.

BERRY

LUTCHER – Irma Jackson Berry, 88, a native of Paulina and resident of Lutcher, died Feb. 1. She was the wife of the late Abraham Berry and step-mother of Edna Anderson.

She was also the daughter of the late Johnny and Harriet Jackson and sister of Eddie Jackson and the late Ida Johnson, Laure Acres and Maude and Johnny Jackson.

She is also survived by a number of step-grandchildren.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at King Solomon Baptist Church, Lutcher, withinterment at Golden Wreath Cemetery, Lutcher. Visitation starts at 9:30a.m.

COLLY

BOUTTE – Hewitt L. Colly Sr., 80, a native and resident of Luling, died Jan. 30.He was the husband of the late Eva Robottom Colly and father of Hewitt Colly Jr.

He was also the son of the late James Sr. and Florence Markey Colly andbrother of Florence Lewis, Esther Holton and Lance, Herschel and the late James Jr. and Herman Colly.He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services were held Feb. 4 at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Boutte, with intermentat St. Mary Cemetery, Boutte.

CUILLIER

MARRERO – Celestine Cuillier, 89, a native of St. James Parish and resident ofMarrero, died Jan. 30. She was the wife of the late Lloyd Cuillier and step-mother of Edna Nicholas and Lloyd Cuillier Jr.

She was also the daughter of the late Adam and Harriet Raymond Cooper and sister of Marie Holliday and the late Catherine Porrier and Ernest and Leroy Cooper.

Services were held Feb. 3 in the chapel of Davis Mortuary Service, Marrero,with interment at Restlawn Cemetery, Avondale.

DELATTE

COVINGTON – Dorothea Boudreaux Delatte, 87, a native of St. James Parishand resident of Covington for 25 years, died Feb. 1. She was the wife of thelate Robert C. Delatte Jr. and mother of Dotty Gassen, Elizabeth Gingell andRobert P. Delatte.She was also the sister of Margaret Soniat, Patricia Corass, Mary Burke, Sister Lillian, Joseph and Vincent Boudeaux and the late Dr. Philip and Dr.Raymond Boudreaux.

She is also survived by 17 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 2 in the chapel of Schoen Funeral Home, Covington,with interment at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens.

DUHON

RESERVE – Marie Lucille “Sis” Bourg Duhon, 74, a native of Reserve and resident of Luling for 45 years, died Feb. 3. She was the wife of RodneyDuhon and mother of Karen Bergeron and Rodney Jr. and Dennis Duhon.She was also the daughter of the late John and Denise Montz Bourg and sister of Renee Catoire, JoAnn Beadle, John, L.P., Neil and Leo Bourg and thelate Laura Mae Trosclair.

She is also survived by five grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Catholic Church, Reserve, withinterment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

HUBBARD

NORCO – Howard C. Hubbard, 64, a native of Xenia, Ohio, and resident ofDestrehan, died Jan. 29. He was the husband of Alida Hubbard for 31 yearsand father of Jeannie Folse and George Hubbard.

He was also the son of the late Howard M. and Alberta Donovan Hubbard andbrother of Lenna Maddox, Rhonda Hale, Betty Sowder, Yoney Neff, Bill Garrett and the late Sherie McCreadie, Alfred Lee Hubbard and Alan Ward.

He is also survived by three grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Memorial services were held Feb. 2 in the chapel of H.C. Alexander FuneralHome, Norco.

JACKSON

LAPLACE – Ernestine V. Jackson, 66, a native of Lions and resident ofGaryville, died Feb. 2. She was the wife of Lawrence Jackson Sr. and motherof Mercedis Stewart, Alice Mae Gardner, Olivia Dickinson and James, Robert, Edward, Lawrence Jr., Wilson, Harold, Nathan and the late Lucile and ClarenceJackson.

She was the daughter of the late Eddie and Pamela Vincent and sister of Edna Scott, Evla Mae Gardner and the late Louise Weber and Willie and Nat Vincent.

She is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Services are today at noon at Spirit of Liberty Full Gospel Church, LaPlace, with interment at Marathon Bishop Cemetery, Garyville. Visitation starts at9:30 a.m.

JARROW

ST. ROSE – Patrice Fayette Evans Jarrow, 38, a native of St. Rose andresident of Hahnville, died Jan. 29. She was the fiancee of Carl Lee andmother of Trechell Renee and Carl Leo Evans.

She was also the daughter of Earl Sr. and Onesther Eugene Evans and sisterof Cheryl Brown, Lucredia Ingram, Katrina Butler, Melanie Aubert, Cassandra Harris, Sonja Blount, Genevieve Vinnett and June and Earl Evans Jr.

She is also the granddaughter of Gladys White, Clarence Eugene Sr. and thelate Walter Evans Sr., Lillian Paul Evans and Fredrick White Sr.Services are today at 1:30 p.m. at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, St. Rose, withinterment at Jefferson Memorial Cemetery, St. Rose. Visitation starts at11:30 a.m.

JOHNSON

AMA – Roberta “Mysoul” Wilson Johnson, 90, a native and resident of Ama, died Jan. 31. She was the wife of the late Willie Johnson.She was also the daughter of the late George and Alice Hall Wilson and sister of Charlotte Clark.

Services were held Feb. 4 at Zion Missionary Baptist Church, Ama, withinterment at Mt. Pilgrim Cemetery, Ama.

MARTIN

HARVEY – Edwin J. Martin, 78, a native of Luling and resident of Harvey, diedFeb. 2. He was the husband of the late Katherine Vince Martin and father ofKatherine Russell and Patricia Lewis.

He was also the son of the late McGrath and Gertrude Benoit Martin and brother of Esther Fradella, Mary Panepinto, Marian Martinez and Percy, Herbert and the late Eldon and Elmore Martin.

He is also survived by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services were held Feb. 4 in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, Harvey, withinterment at McDonough Cemetery.

STEWART

VACHERIE – Ruth “Country” Stewart, 70, a native and resident of Vacherie, died Feb. 1. She was the mother of Beverly Stewart.She was also the daughter of the late Sherman and Sarah Emery Stewart and sister of Donald, Sherman, Fred and Wilbert Stewart and the late Amelia Simoneaux, Mary Batiste and John and Daniel Stewart.

She is also survived by four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are today at 11 a.m. at Highway Baptist Church, Vacherie, withinterment at the church cemetery. Visitation starts at 8 a.m.

WEBER

LUTCHER – Earl Weber, 54, a native and resident of Reserve, died Feb. 3. Hewas the father of Brandy Clement, Tammy, Robin and Samuel Weber.

He was also the brother of Helen Triche and Michael Weber.

He is also survived by eight grandchildren.

Services are today at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home,Lutcher, with interment at St. Peter Cemetery, Reserve.
